Hi,

I have been getting BSOD and occasional crash/restarts (with no BSOD) for at least a few months now. The exact cause of this is something I have no luck pinning down since very little on my computer has changed hardware wise and according to the device manager all my drivers are up to date :/

I have also noticed that my computer tends to quite sluggish when it reboots after such a crash has occurred. Since I am little clue how to read the minidump files, I have followed the forum instructions and uploaded a zip file with all the information gather by the SF tool contained within it.

So any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated :)

Avast! antivirus is contributing in your crashes. I'd suggest you to uninstall it and use Microsoft security essentials at least to test.

Do you have Daemon Tools installed?

Daemon Tools
Please uninstall DAEMON Tools. It uses a driver called sptd.sys which is known to cause BSODs in Windows 7. Uninstall the software using Add/Remove Programs. Reboot the system. Once the program is uninstalled, run sptd.sys uninstaller to remove the driver from your system.

As an alternative, many people recommend the use of Total Mounter or Magic ISO

You need to update the drivers for nusb3xhc.sys - NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver (previous BSOD issues) Source: Driver Reference Table
Click on the Start :orb: ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to; EC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller. Delete remnants of its drivers/older drivers using Driver Fusion/Sweeper

Also update to the latest drivers for your video card. Click on the Start :orb: ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to; ATI. Delete remnants of its drivers/older drivers using Driver Fusion/Sweeper. Restart

Please uninstall Spybot S&D, it;s sometimes known to corrupt and slow down the system.
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy	Public
Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:
Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:
Free up the start-up, nothing except the antivirus is usually needed.
You may use the Free version of MalwareBytes Check for a newer version for the BIOS.
