BSOD: when running print preview with EPSON nvdllvm ?

Well, a new BSOD, happened while printing. Sent to print, brings up a print preivew mode. The screen flipped out, did black screen to present screen about 4 to 5 times and the froze, then BSOD. the nvdllvm.dll ? I think? because no file was left in Minidump folder. What luck!

STOP 0x116 is usually fairly easy to troubleshoot. It's a problem with the video and the video driver got tired of waiting for a response. More info about it here: http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/25912-bsod.html#post280172

In short, the first step is to replace the current video drivers with the latest one's available from the video chipset manufacturer's website (nVidia, ATI, Intel, etc).

The next step is to ensure that the airflow in the case is unobstructed. Then ensure that the video card fan is running, that the video card cooler is unobstructed and that there power connector to the video card is connected (if so equipped).

If all that's working, then point a house fan at the video card and motherboard to see if that makes a difference in the BSOD frequency.

If none of that works, then it's time to try another video card. If you can't borrow one, purchase one from a store with a good return policy.

I figure it was my video,

Nvidia, installed new driver the same day, before, the BSOD.

Their latest.

I'm running EPSON printer their latest.

Temps are normal, below 44c.

I used the 'print preview option in EPSON, but that doesn't seem to work with Nvidia driver. Any how, I'm switching to an ATI card here shortly, probably a 4870 XFX brand 1Gb. They seem to be good cards.

In this pc BFG 9600GT OC version.

Don't even bother with the Epson stuff - this is a video driver error. In your case it just happens to occur when the video driver draws the screen for the Print Preview.

If you're switching cards it's most likely that the problem will disappear then. Not much that you can do until then - except for checking the stuff that I mentioned above.
