Random, multiple BSODs associated with IE10, IE11 and FF v32 crashes. Doesn't seem associated with any particular web page or other specific activity. Most recent BSOD showed this report after normal reboot:

Other than telling you I am 99.99% positive I have no malware or virus (Avast! MBAM, Panda and ADWCleaner have all been run without finding anything), I will apologize for running CCleaner and erasing any earlier BSOD info there was (probably 5-6 prior to this last one).

The BSODs, crashing all browsers mentioned above and NVidia display adapter "stopped working" errors have been continuous since I took this machine out of the box 3 weeks ago. In addition to changing out browsers for test purposes, I have updated the NVidia driver from 332.21 to 344.11 and rolled back to 332.21, all without any significant improvement.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi SJesMe.

My friend Mike (ThrashZone) directed me to your thread.

It seems that you are having a memory corruption. Not necessarily a physical RAM failure, it may be some driver passing some bad information to the memory too. But the crash dumps are not pointing to anything precisely. Let us test both the possibilities.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors. Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

It it does not show any error, enable Driver Verifier to monitor the drivers. Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

   Information
Why Driver Verifier:
It puts a stress on the drivers, ans so it makes the unstable drivers crash. Hopefully the driver that crashes is recorded in the memory dump.

How Can we know that DV is enabled:
It will make the system bit of slow, laggy.

   Warning
Before enabling DV, make it sure that you have earlier System restore points made in your computer. You can check it easily by using CCleaner looking at Tools > System Restore.

If there is no points, make a System Restore Point manually before enabling DV.

   Tip

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

My thanks to Mike and to you. I will run Memtest86+ first and report back prior to running DV. Guess this will give me a good chance to catch up on real life work/chores instead of messing with this desktop all day! :p

Update: 10 passes, no errors. Would it be ok if I uninstalled the NVidia driver and just used whatever generic video driver for a day to see if the problem persists? I'm a little leery of this Driver Verifier thing but if you believe it's best, I'll give it a shot.

It also placed an SFdebugFiles folder on my desktop which I cannot access or find (other than seeing it on the desktop) to upload.

I was downloading/installing MS Updates when the crash occurred.

I have NOT disabled DV yet.

Many thanks for your continued assistance.

Uninstall Panda Free Antivirus. Use the tool available here to do it: Uninstallers (removal tools) for common Windows antivirus software - ESET Knowledgebase

Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Let us know for any further BSOD.

Well that resulted in a hot mess. ESET removal tool found "something" it could not remove and suggested it be removed manually. I used the Panda Uninstaller and got a BSOD when the uninstaller initiated a reboot. After shutting it down cold, OS pointed me to repair ... couldn't repair so did a restore.

I think you have done something wrong there. The link that I supplied you should bring you to this placeAnd you should have taken the highlighted one, resulting this download....Now the restore got Panda nicely back there where it was.
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Panda Free Antivirus
So you have to do the process again.

But, the present problem is the display driver.

Uninstall the installed display driver using Display Driver Uninstaller.

Then download and install 340.52 WHQL.

Sunday = family stuff ... sorry for delay.

Ok so if I understand you, we are now NOT worried about Panda ... or shall I still attempt another uninstall with the Panda uninstaller? Perhaps I was unclear above ... when ESET AV remover suggested a manual uninstall I DID use the Panda Uninstaller which you have highlighted. It resulted in the BSOD. Shall I try it again?

I will attempt to uninstall / change up the NVidia driver per your instructions in the meantime.

Also, there was yet another BSOD (after the restore I think, but I was pretty fuzzy by that hour so I'm not sure):

I'll keep you posted. Thank you for your patience with this ... mine's about run out! :p

Edit Update: I couldn't download the Display Driver Uninstaller ... each version I tried was reported as "Error. This download link is invalid."

Shall I simply follow the instructions at http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/327414-nvidia-drivers-avoid-problems.html and hope for the best?

Uninstalled Panda but there's a whole folder of stuff left. Installed the new nVidia driver with no issues. HOWEVER, now I can ONLY get to google (home page) on the net. Thus, I am writing from a working laptop to let you know I intend to do a clean install on that miserable desktop. This will be from a bootable .iso from digitalriver rather than the factory oem junk. Wish me luck; otherwise, I will end up with a rather expensive paperweight.

Now to find the drivers ...

A perfect decision, I must to say. Go for it.

Then, dont install craps like Panda or ASC anymore. :)

Now to find the drivers ...
Get the Chipset, LAN and Audio drivers (and not the SATA, it will not be needed) from here: Support For 760GM-P23 (FX)

To get a perfect clean reinstall, which will be driver complete itself and will maximize the native performance of windows, follow it: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html

All the best.

Yes ... found that site and saved to dvd with extra save to external HDD. Question: after Win7 install, do I let WinUpdate do it's thing first or install Lan, chipset, audio and NVidia drivers (in that order I think) and THEN go to WinUpdates?

Have you ever tried Advanced SystemCare7.

When you use its uninstaller utility it does a deep uninstall and clears all the stuff associated with an application. Beside a whole lot else when you run the care and stuff from the toolbox tab.

As for the current installation, it is total garbage at this point. I will keep your recommendation in mind once I get a working installation in the event I need to uninstall anything in the future. Revo Uninstaller Pro is nice as well but for the fact that it's a pay-fer after the trial.
