Hi

Hoping someone can give me a hand here - got a Dell Latitude 6320 which arrived about 6 weeks ago which has started crashing. Can't see anything obvious in the Event Log - just reports that the system has rebooted unexpectedly.

Get this from the MS Error Reporting thing:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.4
Locale ID: 7177

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: d1
BCP1: FFFFFA810454E870
BCP2: 0000000000000002
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: FFFFF8800ADB4081
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1

The user thinks it might occur mostly when he is using a 3G USB modem, but is not 100% sure. Have visited Dell this morning and updated the chipset, video and bios so this in itself may solve the problem. However, the owner of the machine is heading to a conference in Switzerland on Sunday and I'm hoping to have a little more clarity on what the issue is before then. I'm fairly good at XP; Win7 is still a bit of a closed book, I'm afraid!

Can anyone help me out, please? Errors attached as per BSOD instruction page. Machine is a Latitude 6320 laptop with 4 gigs of ram running Win7 Enterprise 64 bit as installed by the university's IT department; not OEM.

Thanks

Hello jennanza & Welcome to SevenForums!

:ar: First thing to do.

You have this "Globetrotter 3g or Option Icon 225 USB data stick from Orange" that's causing your BSOD. Do you know this? Consider hardly to update the driver for it as it's 4 years old.

Brilliant - thanks very much.

I've sent the user to that page to try find the right driver. Will monitor it and report back.

This is defiantly your problem. And it's the only one I believe. You can mark your thread as solved, and then mark it off if you get any problems further.

It's obvious for me that you'll need to update it. :)
