BSOD because of changing permissions on files and registry keys

Which partition should be active? The one with OS installed? I have already tried but still get BSOD.

I have only one disk.

I have 3 partitions (500 MB, 6000 MB, 925 GB). 1 and 3 are primary and 2 is recovery. Which one should I select?

If I select partition 3 and make others inactive I get Windows Home Premium OS is installed on C:
Startup repair fails to succeed.

If I select partition 2 and make other two inactive I get Windows Home Premium OS is installed on D:
Setup repair repairs and then requests a restart. After restart I get BSOD again.

Please help!

I use Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit.

BSOD appeared after I changed some permissions in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG. I just wanted to add Everyone to permissions but it results in deleting all permissions and then you aren't able to take ownership neither to change permissions.

Safe mode doesn't work. Gives me BSOD. Windows logo is shown.

I have used Windows 7 Recovery CD but startup repair won't do it. No matter if I change partitions. It won't go.

I typed regedit in cmd and found out that Recovery actually repaired registry permissions back to default but for some reason, system won't start. System restore says there are no restore points.

I know there are some because I didn't delete them, however, maybe system restore cannot access them due to permissions.

I thought if I should take ownership of every file using takeown /f command. It's something like I did yesterday and it worked.

I know I my files are there but I'm just losing hope that I would get back. What should I do? I know it must be something with permissions since this caused the problem.

Please help me, it's driving me nuts!

I can't post it as I am not able to start computer even in safe mode. I can just boot using Installation CD. :-(

Well I finally got the core of the problem. When I insert WINDOWS repair CD and select cmd and regedit I change the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon. In the shell value I type explorer.exe and in userinit.exe change value to C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,. But for some reason, the settings won't apply and the next time I still get back and see that settings haven't been applied. Help please.

But the problem is I cannot boot into safe mode. Any help would be appreciated.
