Original graphic card purchased was an open box BIOSTAR VA5573NHG1 Radeon HD 5570 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card. Due to the ongoing intermittent crashes I returned within the Newegg.com open box policy and grabbed the Sapphire card. Did not make the crashes go away but since the old card was open box it was the weakest link.
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 ? Full Retail Install All hardware purchased in November 2010 System built and OS installed before Christmas 2010

Random crashes, some days worse than others. Any help with this is much appreciated.
Built this system with my youngest son for his Christmas present.
He loves the system except that it has not been stable. PSHED.dll and ntoskrnl.exe+70740 are involved.
Help... :o

Old drivers likely the cause. BIOS is from 2003 and simply cant work in win 7

Code:
[COLOR=Red][B]BIOS64.sys    6/7/2003 08:12:00 PM    fffff880`03eff000    fffff880`03f07000    0x00008000    0x3ee27f50 [/B][/COLOR]

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

When I run the BIOSTAR Tseries BIOS update utility it says I have version TA880BG+ (88PEP702 BS) with a BIOS date of 07/02/2010. Any idea how to resolve...the motherboard has the latest BIOS.

Running verifier.exe for the BIOS64.sys driver. Once I learn what program uses it I assume I uninstall and rename the driver to .old.

I've seen some software like this before but can't remember the name of the software itself. Can anyone tell me a good software that auto-update a computer's drivers? Freeware would be great. Outdoor LED Lighting

veronisa: We do not recommend automated driver updates because they can find updates to drivers that are for different hardware than is actually on the computer being updated. If you have questions regarding where to find driver updates, Drivers - Windows 7 Forums is a good place to start a thread. The experts there may know of automated driver update programs that are safe, but I think you will get the same advice there that I gave you. They will be able to help you find any drivers you need updates for, though.
