Hi

Someone who solved a similiar prob pls help me

I have a big prob with the pc, screen goes black and i cant do anything.
Must use the on/off botton to reboot it, when this happens the major prob comes.
No boot found on pc, pc wont boot then i go to the bios and the hd is not in there.
I must play with the pc restarting it and if im lucky the hd ''comes'' back and i can reboot and system starts. I can go check the event log to see the errors.
Several times now happened to that system was slow. It freeze and i cant do anything.
I tho i found a solution, i have read some theads with similiar probs
I did boot the pc in clean mood and deactive the half of the services. I was hoping this would help, but not even after 8 hours happened the same thing.
I have several errors in the log
*A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the NlaSvc service.
*The Network Location Awareness service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
*The previous system shutdown at 13:03:22 on ‎2011-‎10-‎21 was unexpected.
*The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
I dont know if this happens when pc goes sleep or it was on many hours. This happens, in the screen settings there are no hibernate or sleep all options are on never, and no screen saver.
I tried another hd as bootdevice also coz i tho it was some prob with the hd but was the same prob with the other one also. I think this happens when i havent used the pc a long time but then the next question, why it doesnt find the boot on startup?
Im gettin upswet with it.
Help me guys

testing speedfan

Hello,

First off, check your system temperatures with Speedfan, after it has been running a little while. If the temps are normal, run each of the three Prime95 tests, and watch for heat problems as well as errors.

www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-hardware-stress-test-prime95.html

Also, create a Memtest86 CD: www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

When the computer crashes, immediately boot to the Memtest86 CD and run the test for about 30 minutes.

Hi Jonathan

Thanx for reply. I did run the prime95 about 10 hours or more.
I also did install speedfan. Here is some of it:
The GpU is on 52-54-55 so it has warn sign. I guess its too high.
Temp 1: 68-69
Temp 2: 40-41-42 they jump up and down. No warn but red
Temp 3: 128c
Hd0: 30 c

Im not sure about how the prime95 works, I have never done such things before.
I created a user account and try to follow the readme file.
i will now try the memtest.
I dont see any errors in prime95 when the prog is running.
Does it have some log files?

I am unaware of any log files for Prime95. Just look at the status boxes during the tests, see if any workers stopped because they encountered an error.

You might also consider opening up the side of your case, cleaning out any dust with a can of compressed air ("electronics cleaner"), and then aiming a fan right at the motherboard while running Prime95. See if the temperatures in Speedfan decrease any.

Hi

The temps decrease when i have closed the prime95,
temp 1: 39 temp2 : 36 gpu: 59( still warn sign) How much should that be? what is normal for it?

Can i run the stress test with this temps?

It looks like your temps are a little warm, but not too bad. You really shouldn't be having problems with those temps, but we've seen some strange things.

Still run the stress tests, and let us know if there are any errors.

oh yeah, i was running now the tourture test prime95 for some 4 hours or so,
and it happened again. Screen went black. Then it wont restart.
It just did the first display on restart adn nothing more.
SO i had to press reset, then ok,
I started the msi temperature and it was warning me, system will shut down gpu is 108
I was looking at it several times on the tourture test and temps was on 69-70 for hours.
temp 1 and temp 2 a little higher than yesterdays.
now what to do? I havent seen the error or anything in the test that was running coz i cant sit and watch the test nonstop. but atleast the other prog warned me for the gpu.
What should i do?

The overheating GPU is probably causing all the trouble. nVidia GPUs are rated to operate safely at 105C, and there are reports of users experiencing problems at temps even into the 90s. I'd work on cooling that GPU down. Take off the fan, scrape off the old thermal paste, and apply some new paste: Newegg.com - ARCTIC COOLING Arctic Cooling MX-4 AC-MX4 4 gram (g) All-Around Thermal Compound

Hi

bsod dump

You'd want to use the ATI drivers from Lenovo, not ATI, in this situation. Here: Drivers and software - ThinkPad T400 and T400s

Run the jcgriff2 utility on the laptop and post the resulting info package here and I can take a look. See here: www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html

I ziped the files and i hope its ok as it is.
I did got the ati from lenovo yesterday but it didnt made any change. Still keep crashing.
I also did delete the older versions of driver update for grafiks.

Hi Vamp,

Sorry for the delay...I got busy with some things.

The latest report suggests that your Intel wireless drivers are the cause. I suspect this will be an easy fix; update to the latest version from here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...7, 64-bit*&DownloadType=Software Applications

Hi Jonathan

Thanx for ur answer.I got it and i hope it be fine now. Its worth to test :)
and i appreciate ur help even if it toke a whole.
I have a 3rd computer and it has its issues. Sometimes, when i enter the (My computer) or folders inside or just click on the stuff inside the folder,
it start to jump, the folder and the taskbar.
Taskbar kinda freaks out and move the icons, when this happens i cant do much, i cant wait til it calm down, or if i keep clicking it get worse so system will not respond at end.
I dont know what cause this. I never had such probs with this before.
I think it all started when i installed a prog and it contained, bchelper.exe. I removed the prog, but the helper was installed in the toolbar, i had to delete that with uninstallercoz every time i did rebot the sys, it started with a an error boz the bchelper couldnt start.
Anyway i dont know, i just suspect. Now i have so many errors in the eventlog.
Is it possible its the hd? It happens even when i click on the external hd.
Can i run BSOD Dump & System File Collection app (EXE file) on this machine too or what should i do?

Is the 3rd computer a laptop? If so, I have seen that once before. It turns out the motherboard was bad; it was also killiing good hard drives we put in and bluescreening.

Try plugging in an external mouse and see if the problem persists.
