Solved BSOD browsing firefox

hi all, I'm having some issues with my crossfire of 7950 while I'm browsing firefox and suddenly the screen goes black and then BSOD, but when I turn off crossfire in catalyst, the problem seems to disappear. Playing games like BF3 it's ok, no problems.


I unistalled drivers (also with driver sweeper), reinstalled and now I have ccc 12.4

Asrock p67 extreme 6 b3 (Bios version 1.80)
I7 2600k
x2 Sapphire HD7950
8gb ram Gskill ripjaws x 1600 pc3-12800
I recently re-installed windows 7 (Last saturday)

Though not your only prolem please update this driver Related to MarvinBus.sys Marvin/MarvinPro Bus Enumerator from Pinnacle Systems. Yours is from 2005

"It's not a true crash, in the sense that the bluescreen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception".

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OSs like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds.

If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating.

Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU.

Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.

I would download cpu-z and gpu-z (both free) and keep an eye on the video temps

BSOD error 116 solved

Ok, I finally solved this 116 error and TDR issues.

Start ->control panel->system and maintenance->power options-> and select high performance or edit what you have selected in advanced settings and change the value to "never" in "HDD->turn off" and in "PCI Express".

That works for me and I think it's logical.

I hope you understand my bad english because i'm spanish.
