Hey guys, Ive been getting random BSODs. Usually its when i am watching videos, but lately it will do it when my PC is on its screen saver and sometimes when its shutting down. It can go days between errors then ill get 3 within 10 minutes of each other. I have done memory tests and updated all my drivers. I attempted to follow your instructions so if i need to add more please let me know. Thanks in advance

DocZ you had 2 dump files, which is what we use to debug. Unfortunately neither one of them gave us any information.

If you would, please make sure your firmware for your SSD is up to date. I have a frw Crucials and there was a bug in the older firmware that would cause BSODs in certain circumstances. They fixed that fairly quickly with a firmware update,

Open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Please ley us know how it goes. If you get more BSODs, please run http://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html again. This time try option #2 and press the 'Grab All' button and give it plenty of time to do it's work. Then upload all files here, in your next Post.

Ok i ran the scan and it did say windows found no integrity violations

Updated my crucial firmware so we will see how it goes.

Thank you again for responding so quickly in a manner that was easy to understand. Ill keep an eye on it the next few days and post updated dump files if the error occurs again.

OK, great. just post a new reply and I'll be notified. If you add to or edit an existing post, I won't be notified. Just want you to know how it works. With the dump files not providing any information, this may be difficult to solve, but just work with me on it. If at any time you don't understand instructions or want to know why I ask certain things, feel free to ask. I don't mind explaining at all. And, By the way, Welcome to Seven Forums.
