BSOD can play games for 5-10min before crashing

Got a custom pc few weeks old. tryed the recommended drivers, beta and now trying some older drivers but keep getting crashes. Also when I turn my pc on the first time everyday It gets stuck on a blackscreen or BSOD immediately and after a restart I get back to windows. I really don’t know what to do anymore tried so many drivers can it be a hardware defect?

Anyone got any clue? the BSOD are getting more frequent. I dont know what to do anymore. i googled for a fix, looked at threads here, updated all my drivers. I really cant figure out whats wrong.

I don't profess to be an expert in this area, but I did notice there is a problem with your ACPI driver, you say its a "custom pc" have you opened up the case and physically checked all the power connections inside ? especially the big one from the power supply to the main board... Its worth checking to see if your memory modules are seated correctly whilst your in there (but probably not related to this problem or your BIOS would be sending you a warning tone) Does the computer have adequate cooling in other words is the system getting very hot ? this can cause all sorts of strange problems that result in a BSOD quite quickly especially since its happening when playing a game.

I have lots of other theory's on this but not knowledgeable enough to actually instruct you to do what I think... Other than what I stated above it needs checking just as a mater of course especially since its a custom build.

temps in my case stay around 30C, videocard around 40 and when starting a game can go up to 50-60. I did memtest on my 2 sticks one gave back 1 error on test 9 the other had 3, 1 on test 5,7 and 9 not sure if this means anything. Powersupply can cause this? the connecters seem to be connected.

Your temps are good... but the memory errors are a bad sign, I am surprised your BIOS is not "beeping" at you when you first power the system up (POST) Have you checked that they are seated correctly then? even remove them blow in the slots and put them back then run the tests again see what happens.

If your still getting the errors in the tests then check to make sure the memory you have is fully compatible with your mainboard, as it is possible to have memory that fits the slots but is of the wrong speed etc, the problems can vary drastically, from not booting at all to random crashes and then predicable ones you know about for instance games in your case.

If somebody here finds some spare time to study your zip file I guess they would tell you right away if the memory is compatible or not, in the meantime take a look at your mainboard manual and then look up the numbers on the memory online to find out exactly what it is and if it is compatible or not... another thing are both memory modules of the same brand ? or at very least identical in specifications...

Maybe you could borrow a compatible memory module from a friend to run the tests with ?

I tried putting the memory in different slots, checked them for dust and everything but no change.
Where can I find the right memory speed to use?
