Hi guys,

I'm a new user here and plan to contribute where possible. Meanwhile, I have a new system build and I'm experiencing system crashes. I have already performed chkdsk /r, sfc /scannow, memtest scans, reviewed event viewer logs, and I am currently running driver verifier. At this point in time, I can't seem to pinpoint the cause of these crashes nor can I seem to find any type of pattern.

At this point in time, any guidance or help would greatly be appreciated. I have attached the SF Diagonostic logs in zipped format. Please let me know if anything else is needed.

It says the BSODs are caused by the display driver.
Code:

And it is the latest version of the display driver.

The latest version is buggy in some cases. Install the 314.22 WHQL only.

  • Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
    • 3D Vision Control Driver
    • 3D Vision Driver
    • Graphics Driver
    • HD Audio Driver
    • PhysX
    • nvidia Update
(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
  • Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
  • Boot normally now. Go to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers, Download 314.22 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

Also do some hardware tests:

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

Let us know the results.

Arc,

The 314.22 WHQL drivers still produced the same result. After performing some research, I have discovered that there are driver issues relating to the GTX 780 video card. After downloading and installing the 326.80 drivers, all of my issues went away and haven't came back since.

Notable change in the 326.80 drivers:
  • TDR error may occur when the system is idle for several hours. [1330455]
I will mark this issue as resolved. Thanks for your help, Arc!

Hi Matt .... 326.80 is still a BETA, and your issue was apparently was not a TDR. For TDR, the bugcheck codes are 0x116 and 0x117.

Still, as it is working good for you, that is very good news. :)

Let us know for any further issues.
