I have recently upgraded virtually my entite PC (think the only remaining items are the CPU's and the drives) so I could jump ship from console to PC gaming and have found that certain games are crashing my PC (so far Ghosts, TF2, Outlast have crashed it sporadically - although I seem to have resolved the Ghosts issue by updating my motherboard drivers and one game called Madballs crashed my PC repeatedly till I had to stop playing it before I bonged someone on the head with my keyboard)...

Windows diag description....

Checked the drivers on everything, everything's bang up to date. Updated BIOS to the most current version....played BF4 for an hour without issue.....played top gear on GOM and it crashed yet again! This is the first time it's happened during video playback!

Ran furmark to stress test my GPU last night and got silly low speeds (lees than 30fps) so I'm thinking that had to be the culprit. Completely uninstalled the graphics card and all drivers. Re-installed the card and drivers and re-tested, jumped up to almost 70fps! Video play back and gaming is now much much smoother and as of yet.....touch wood....no BSOD! Fingers crossed that's the issue solved!

Most likely was the drivers wich can hang the system, usualy the older drivers have good function, but the most recent games demand graphic card upgrades wich is not usualy a good idea.

Graphic card drivers are the usual issue in windows in playing the video games so is better to test different drivers from manufacturer (CD/DVD driver wich came in the box with Card) or mnanufacturer website and get the one driver wich is gives you stability. But if your system is in stable mode now good luck further and thanks for reply.

Suspecting the graphics card I sent it back to Scan who confirmed almost instantly it was indeed the card causing my issues! Replacement should be with me today...hopefully that's the issue resolved.

Cheers
