OK peeps
I have an HP Probook 4510s(core 2 duo ,2 Gb RAM) I'm working on, and keep getting error code(s)
0x0000007b
0xF789EA98
OxC0000034
Unfortunately I cant full boot to get dump files. I've tried to boot to install disk-system hang.
Running bootable AV-nothing found as yet(1 hr later)
Tried Dban to wipe drive-no glory.
I'm thinking its HD failure, but ??
Any educated guesses?
Sorry I cant provide more info...I do know its 64 bit 7 lol

Have you tried booting into safe mode?

See if you can boot to Ubuntu.
Download | Ubuntu

If you are able to then you should be able to browse to your hard drive and pull the memory dumps off and upload them here.

Do you know what the make of the hard drive is? Have you tried a bootable hard drive scan?

Check out Ultimate Boot CD - Overview They have a lot of nice tools you can use to diagnose problems. Try running a couple of the hard drive tests and see if they pass or not.

I found the trouble; apparently I had a rootkit. I'm reformatting now and all seems well. Thanks to Jonathan (JK)for all the help as well. :D
