Hi,

This is my first submission.

Fairly new Dell W7 64bit laptop (~6 months old). Only running 1 program - Ubiquiti Unifi Controller (A Java based software tool to manage wireless access points). The laptop rarely is used. It's for monitoring/maintenance purposes in an equipment rack.

Laptop crashes/bsod about 1x a week. This has been going on for about 3 months. Only USB connection is an external keyboard/mouse.

Copy/Paste from event viewer:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xfffffa8004221060, 0xfffff80000b9c3d8, 0xfffffa8003e10010). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 062914-20560-01.

Thanks in Advance!

Hello there mate!

Seems like the crash is pointing to usbhub.sys which may not be the actual problem. But at any event try to reinstall the USB drivers. You'll find it under device manager. See if you find a update version in manufacturer's website.

Since you said it happens only when you run Ubiquiti Unifi Controller update your Network drivers as well.

:ditto: to what Capt.Jack Sparrow said.

Also try to update AuthenTec TruePrint WBF Driver (c:\windows\system32\drivers\atswpwdf.sys), which is actually the Fingerprint Sensor. AuthenTec, Inc. Software Informer: Latest AuthenTec, Inc. software updates and reviews: AuthenTec TrueSuite, AuthenTe...

The installed driver is of August 2012.

If there is no feasible update, or if you think the fingerprint sensor is not a must to have, it would be the best that you uninstall/ disable it.

For updating/reinstalling the USB drivers, go to Support | Dell US, use your service tag, and update the driver for Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller for Latitude E5530 non-vPro. It is of February 2013, so there is a possibility to have updated drivers.

Let us know for any further BSOD.

Capt. Jack & ARC - Thanks for the prompt reply !!

Actions performed:

1. In device manager, I uninstalled the usb hub that is using the "usbhub.sys" driver. I'll let it run for a month and see what results we get. ( The keyboard/mouse connected to this hub is not necessary).

2. I went to Dell support site and updated everything.

3. There is no fingerprint sensor on this Dell laptop so I will uninstall "AuthenTec TruePrint WBF Driver" if the laptop keeps crashing.

I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again!

I just tried to download your dm log collector on a new machine.

Avast antivirus is warning me that your dm log collector.exe is suspicious.

Please advise.

Ah! It's just a false positive. You can ignore the warning :)
