This is odd. Try running SFC /scannow from an elevated command prompt. Report back any console messages.
Also check to see if there are updates for drivers and the BIOS from Dell.

Forgot to ask- Are you trying to run RAID on a single drive?

Thanks carwiz.
I ran SFC/scannow but got the status 'Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations''.
I did install the latest BIOS from Dell site(A10) still getting the same error.

I do have 2 drives - one 32GB mSATA drive and 500GB hadrdisk drive partitioned into 3 ). :-)
someone claims that iastore.sys is a virus..

Scan your system with the following:
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\McAfee	Public:Start Menu\Programs\McAfee	Public
McAfee is a frequent cause of BSOD's. As a test please remove it using the McAfee Removal Tool from here: Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software - ESET Knowledgebase

We recommended Microsoft Security Essentials from a strict BSOD perspective. Is most compatible & provides best stability compared to other antivirus app/Internet Security Software.
   Warning
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

Number down items at start-up. Keep only your anti-virus, this also improves the time for logging into windows.
  • Click on the Start button
  • Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  • Select the “Startup” tab.
  • Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  • Apply > OK
  • Accept then restart.
Full tutorial:
Use the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to determine which file is causing the issue, and then replace the file.

To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
  2. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow
The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Check your hard drive(s) for errors by running chkdsk:
Let us know the results and further BSOD reports if you have them.

Thanks for stepping in on my absence Yussi. Don't you ever sleep? :)

Tamilzu- Iastor.sys is an Intel driver for the Intel series of chip sets used for disk drive controllers. It's used by many OEM manufactures. I use it myself on the system I'm using now. That's not to say there could be malware called by the same name. Follow the AV scan directions above and keep us posted.

The Intel drivers still aren't matching up. Also, I'm seeing an Adaptec AHCI driver. Do you have an Adaptec adapter card installed in your system?
