Hi,

We have a Dell workstation used for 3D measurements.
Reacently a lot of BSODs happened.
Attached the logs, dump files in a Zip.
Quick search for 0x124 gave me hints to check the cooling and turn off OC if its enabled.
The PC is not overclocked.
Also took apart the PC and cleaned with pressurized air.
There was no software or hardware change lately.
The drivers are not up to date as the OS also.
This is because a special software runs on the mashine, which can be unstable from updates. There was a few case when the software didn't worked after an update, so decided not upgrade anything.

Please analyze the dumps and give me a hint where to continue!

Thx,
Peter

I'm no expert but it appears that it's your GOM software-

This error occurs repeatedly-

8/15/2019 11:09 AM Application Error Faulting application name: atos.exe, version: 2018.0.6.51882, time stamp: 0x5caf6c4e
Faulting module name: ole32.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce7c92c
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x000000000002bfd1
Faulting process id: 0x18b4
Faulting application start time: 0x01d55354aae32ee1
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\GOM\2018\bin\atos.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\ole32.dll
Report Id: 2e10bc82-bf4d-11e9-be17-a0369f36491d

It might be worth opening a command prompt as the administrator and running SFC /Scannow to see if it finds any errors since the problem seems to be related to the ole32.dll. Reboot after it runs.

There are other errors but the one above is the most frequent.

There already is a clue where you, in my opinion, should start, updating your OS.

I understand that you don't want to update if it causes stability issues for a program, but from another perspective, this also makes troubleshooting very difficult. Many of those updates contain fixes for several areas of Windows, including but not limited to the stability, performance, and security of Windows. One or more of those updates could potentially fix your issue without anyone having to spend a lot of time troubleshooting or debugging.
