BSOD doing almost anythings

I suffer from multiple BSODs. So far they have happened when

• Using Mozilla firefox
• Playing Graphic intensive games
• Booting up
• And other things I cant remember

Hoping someone can help.


I also suffer from random reboots with no BSOD, which can happen anytime.

AVG Anti-virus is known for causing Blue screen of death issues on Windows 7.

I recommend you change your Anti-Virus and see if the problem still persists.

I followed your instructions and chose Avast antivirus.
However it did another BSOD afterwards. Attached is the dump.

Those show Avast as the cause. Please run these scans

Scan with Kaspersky TDSSKiller:
Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller

ESET online scanner:
Free Virus Scan | Online Virus Scanner from ESET
Free Online Virus Scanner | ESET

Also, please download and install Malwarebytes (https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/ ) during the install process please uncheck the trial of real time protection and just use it as an on demand scanner. Run a full scan with it.

Yes it would appear that Avast caused this BSOD, i recommend a full virus scan as suggested above.
