My computer has been intermittently crashing with the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error for the past 2 weeks. This usually happens after I open a folder with a large number of files or if I have 2-3 applications running at the same time. I've formatted the PC and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 and received the error after an hour.

I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit) on an i7, with 8GB's of RAM, a 560Ti GPU and two 1TB HD's. As far as I know none of my components exhibit any symptoms of being faulty (I could be wrong).

The Error report that I receive is:
Bug Check String: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Bug Check Code: 0x000000d1
Parameter 1: 00000000`00000010
Parameter 2: 00000000`00000002
Parameter 3: 00000000`00000000
Parameter 4: fffff880`010abc31
Caused by Driver: SCSIPORT.SYS
Caused by Address: SCSIPORT.SYS+dc31
Processor: x64
Crash Address: ntoskrnl.exe+75bc0

I've also attached a copy of my DMF files and MSinfo32.

Can someone please provide me with feedback as to WHAT could be causing this error and how I can go about solving it.

Thanks!

So it appears that it the problem is with the SCSI/RAID setup. But it would be better to wait for the data as Brink suggested, before suggesting any steps.

Thank guys for responding. I appreciate it and apologize for the broken link. I'm not sure whether I should select Kernel Memory Dump or Small Memory Dump from the Start Up and Recovery menu? Could someone please let me know which one to select?

I've chosen the Small Memory Dump (Mini Dump from the Start Up and Recovery menu.

I hope I've done everything and attached the file correctly?

Hi Ariela. Most of your BSODs are caused by SCSIPORT.sys.
Code:
BugCheck D1, {10, 2, 0, fffff880010abc31}

[COLOR=Red]Probably caused by : SCSIPORT.SYS[/COLOR] ( SCSIPORT!SpFreeSrbData+d5 )

You have two different SCSI drivers enabled. Marvel and JMicron. Out of them, Marvell one is failing.
Code:
fffff880`03392848  fffff880`01139d4fUnable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\mv91xx.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** [COLOR=Red]WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for mv91xx.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for mv91xx.sys[/COLOR]
 mv91xx+0x5d4f
Boot into BIOS, go to Advanced settings. If there is any option to Disable Marvell, disable it. Also uninstall it:
Code:
[COLOR=Red]Start Menu\Programs\Marvell\91xx driver[/COLOR]    God\Charou:Start Menu\Programs\Marvell\91xx driver    God\Charou
At the same time, The JMicron driver is out of date.
Code:
fffff880`0107e000 fffff880`0109e000   jraid      (deferred)
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\jraid.sys
[COLOR=Red]    Image name: jraid.sys

    Translations:     0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Update JMicron JMB36X Controller from ftp://driver.jmicron.com.tw/SATA_Controller/Windows/.

At the same time, some other things are causing BSODs, too. It is NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible).
Code:
BugCheck D1, {10, 2, 0, fffff88005934686}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvvad64v.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvvad64v.sys

And it is using an up to date version. Better you disable this device.

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Let us know the results.
