BSOD - DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE related to ntoskrnl.exe

Hello All,

First of all, thank you for taking the time to help strangers on the internet! Seriously, very, very awesome of you.

I have had periodic bluescreen events since I built this computer, but they seem to be getting closer together. I haven't been able to identify any obvious causes and have rechecked to make sure all connectors are well seated.

I've attached the zip file containing the SF_Diagnostic_tool results.

I'd love some feedback on what you all think may be the root cause as well as how you identified it from the files.

When you are at Step 5, Expand:
Hard Disk > Turn Off Hard Disk after: Minutes 0.
Apply> OK.

Eventually it will then display as turn off after never.

After doing it, put the computer to sleep for a few times, make it wake up. Report us if it is BSODing out in the same way or not.

Hello Arc,

I did as you requested and set the hard drive turn off time to never. So far no BSOD. I'm not sure what this means, but I'm okay with leaving this setting as never if that's what it takes to have a happy system.

That means something a bit of complicated. You are keeping your storage devices out of ACPI.

Okay, so a bit of an update. So far the BSOD's seem to have stopped, but I've had a couple of instances where the screen will refuse to come back on once they turn off, i.e. the screens timeout and the computer is then unresponsive until i do a reset. I've attached a new log for reference.

Unfortunately the people available in this BSOD Help and Supportsection provides help on BSOD issues specifically.

If you see that the BSODs are stopped, but you are facing any other sort of issues, you may close the thread for the time being by marking it as solved, and start a new thread in General Discussion about the other sort of issues. Specific experts will take care of that issue. You may refer to this thread too, if needed.

If the BSODs are back at any point of time, you may revive this thread again.
