I've had BSOD twice now and have checked that all the drivers are up to date. I also now have a problem with the battery (I think it may be the ac adapter rather than the actual battery) but not sure if it's linked to the BSOD.

Use Windows 7 x64, it's the original OEM installed by Compaq. Machine is a Presario CQ61 and is 19 months old (as is the OS).

Can you help?

Related to athrx.sys Extensible Wireless LAN device driver from Atheros Communications, Inc. I would re-install using newest version available. Yours is from early 2010

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

Thanks.

I've updated the Atheros driver and deleted a few that were related to a programme I no longer use.

I won't have time until the weekend to look through the rest of the drivers.
