Solved BSOD DUE TO NETIO.SYS (driver)

Hi,

This is the first time I've had this many BSODs, I can't find the particular driver that causes this as I downloaded a few drivers today and rolledback the asmedia xhci controller and the atheros wireless driver because when I installed the updated xhci driver I couldn't use my usb devices. I restored the atheros driver as it seems that the BSOD cause was linked with the new driver, even though I didn't update that particular driver today. The BSODs that I'm concerned about happened today so there is no need to check the old BSODs, I think. Any suggestions would be helpful!

Uninstall McAfee,. (known cause of bsod NETIO.SYS) download and install MSE
Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Yeah, I guess that was the cause since I havent had any BSODs since the uninstallation. But I've had McAfee all this time and it had never caused any BSODs until now. Is it just random?

Most likely. See if your computer crashes for another week or few days so you'll be sure.
