BSOD during Windows Update Configuration

Hi all,

Need some extra help here. I attempted to get the debugging tools to read the minidump files post-mortem, but can only get into safe mode, which doesn't help me. I've attached the zip of the output from the jcgriff2 app.

I'm not positive, but it may be related to an attempt to install Spanish & Japanese optional language packs to Windows 7 Ultimate installation alongside a recommended update.

Initially, it crashed during start up at the 'configuring windows' screen at 15% into it. Two system restores later to take me back two updates, and now it returns to the 'configuring windows' screen on startup and crashes at 0%. Not sure if additional system restores will do much good.

Thanks,

- Matt

Seems to be related to your USB port/Device and your Nvidia Display drivers

- Remove any unnecessary USB device or plug it in another port

- Uninstall your Nvidia display drivers then use driver sweeper to remove leftover Nvidia files
Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

Then reinstall your display drivers: NVIDIA DRIVERS 260.89 WHQL

This was likely caused by the following module: usbhub.sys
Bugcheck code: 0xFE (0x8, 0x6, 0x5, 0xFFFFFA80067B9000)
Error: BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER

This was likely caused by the following module: nvlddmkm.sys
Bugcheck code: 0xA (0xFFFFFA800B0C1060, 0x2, 0x1, 0xFFFFF80002EDC84C)
Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

The error did not mention IRQ conflict or anything specific to USB. The error mentioned a page fault in an unpaged area with a hex code of 0x00000050 I believe.

I'll reinstall nVidia drivers just in case the bsod was messing with me.

Thanks!

Thanks, yowanvista!

It was the nVidia drivers. Who knows why they recently started acting up... but it's working now.
