Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a second hand MSI Radeon 7950 Twin Frozr OC Boost edition GPU, where previously it had a EVGA GTX 560 Ti. I got home from the purchase and I had played a couple of games of Dota on the night of the install - it played great, maxed settings etc. After my two games it did the blue screen of death (it was really quick like no longer than 2-3 seconds).

After it rebooted I watched a movie and loaded up steam - again it went BSOD. The next day it starting more intermittent BSOD restarts of the computer, whatever the activity on the computer - browsing, media player etc etc.

This has been my situation for the weekend (purchased the second hand card on Thursday).

Not 100% sure if my system specifics are required but here they are anyway just in case:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 64 Bit
CPU: i5 2500k
Mother Board: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. P67A-UD3R-B3
GPU: Msi 7950 Twin Frozr OC Boost Edition
PSU: SilverStone Strider 750W PSU 80 PLUS Silver
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8gig (2X 4gig sticks) 1600Mhz CMZ*GX3M2A1600C9B
Computer Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid Tower Case.

Thanks so much for helping me out and sorry if I take too long to respond. :geek:

Hi lythis07,

You are running an ASUS OEM product ID on a Gigabyte board.
This makes your installation counterfeit.
Troubleshooting a counterfeit installation is useless because it is not known what has been modified to your system.
