BSOD entering sleep mode, points to ntoskrnl.exe driver

Last night I went to put my computer to sleep and right after the monitor went to sleep the computer hung for a sec and then BSOD (waking monitor). So I left it off and figured I would look at it in the morning. This morning I wake up and restart and everything seems fine, walk away to make food and my computer went to sleep - BOOM BSOD. When I check event logs it says diver issue for ntoskrnl.exe

I have tried a couple things and looked around but I'm not seeing where the actual fault lies. Thanks in advanced for all help and suggestions

Hi Bentobaku.

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall Daemon Tools at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

• Double click to open it.
• Click this button only:
• 
• If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.

Then free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept then restart.

Then try to enable sleep mode for a few times and observe if it BSODing still or not. Let us know the situation.

Well This afternoon the problem seems to have resolved itself the same way it start, all the sudden for no reason lol ty for your help.
