Hi,
I keep getting a BSOD when I'm working ever since getting my PC. Originally I thought it was simply a matter of updating my drivers but this has not solved the problem. It seemingly happens completely randomly. this was the last error message I got on the BSOD:

A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x000000F4

The main programs I'm using are Adobe Premiere CS5.5 and the Foundry Nuke and Google Chrome although it happens even if none of these are open.

If anyone can give me some advice on how to fix the problem I'd really appreciate it. I'm at a total loss.

Thanks a lot for your time!
Andrew

Ha! Welcome to the party. lol

Sorry, I don't mean to laugh. But, I am having the same damn issue. Everything else on my bloody machine works, except for a couple things I try to launch. I try to launch a .exe, crash. I try to launch a program, crash.

Does your 0X0F4 screen load the dump file, or just sit there? By that, I mean does it collect the data from the crash?

Ha! I just saw your post as well! Looks pretty damn similar alright.

I'm pretty sure it just sits there. Although on the BSOD it says it's collecting data from the crash, the screen just stays the same for hours until I manually turn of my machine

Yeah, mine never collects anything and just hangs there. On the plus side, if we ever get this figured out, we'll never forget how to fix it! lol

This has been going on for over a week now.

I know it's a nightmare!, I hadn't used my machine for a while and I thought the problem had been fixed. I thought it might have been something to do with the BIOS so reset it to the default settings but that doesn't seem to have worked.

I've been looking up running a CHKDSK on my C drive, which is an SSD. So far, no one seems to think it's bad. I know I can't defrag it, but didn't know about the CHKDSK.

Mine crashes when I try to execute some programs, or run one. Seven hours I left it on the BSoD last night in the hopes to have a data collection and see what's crashing. I don't want to reinstall the OS again. That just takes forever. I have a clean copy of Windows 7 Ultimate and was thinking of running it over 7 Pro. But, I don't want to if I can fix this problem.

Friggin' frustrating. I am hoping some of these folks will be able to help. This is a brand new machine I just built on the 16th.

DayZ runs awesomely, though! lol. At high settings, the GPU is only under medium loads.
