Is Windows 7
- x64
- the original installed OS on the system
- OEM

- What is the age of system (hardware)? 2 years

Error code: 0x000000f4 (0x0000000000000003, 0xFFFFFFA8006AEBC10, 0XFFFFFA8006AEBE48, 0XFFFFF80002124CF0)

BSOD occurs randomly. hard reset does not work. I need to remove that battery and let sit for a period of time before windows starts normally

Any idea of what the problem may be? Thanks!
JJ

No DMP files included in upload please try this method

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

To ensure minidumps are enabled:

* Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
* Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
* Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
* Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
* Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
* OK your way out.
* Reboot if changes have been made.

I attempted to send file to "compressed folder". It says "Files not found or no read permission"

I am logged on under an administrator user.

I also attempted to open the file directly through the attachment function but it says: "do not have permission to open this file. Contact file owner or administrator"

I dropped the file on my desktop and compressed it.

However, when I attempt to attach it and select the file under the attachment manager (open) I receive the same error message:

"You do not have permission to open this file.

Contact the file owner or administrator to obtain permission"

You may have to take ownership of it. (see take ownership tutorial here @ SF)

How big is the file?

Who "owns" the file

You can check both in properties.
