BSOD error 41

Hi All,

I do need some help with this one:
Have W7 for a good while now and no problems what so ever. But out of a sudden it started to play up and give me the feared BSOD.
It's not that there was any heavy load on anything really, just surfing and boom all blue and white. Uninstalled some programs that I installed recently with no change. At the moment safemode is running without crashing.

Specs:
Win7 Pro 64, Phenom IIx4 955 3.21 with Arctic cooling Freezer 7 Pro, Thermaltake 700W, Nvidia 9800GTX, Gigabyte Ultradurable 3, 8gb Kingston ram

Anyone any ideas? Would be highly appreciated!

Tried to get the perform /report but only got an error message.
Minidump folder is empty?

No dump files are attached, did you run any system cleaner(such as Clceaner) after the crash?
If so wait for the computer to BSOD and re-upload the file

Yepp, unfortunately minidump folder is empty. Now waiting for it to crash which it does usually in 5-10min after switching on. But it seems to be running fine - typically, when you want it to crash it doesn't.

Right it just crashed again, but it didn't produce a dumpfile! What now?

Check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.dmp - if it's there, zip it up and upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here.

If not, try this:

Upload Dump Files:
Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Left click on the first minidump file.
Hold down the "Shift" key and left click on the last minidump file.
Right click on the blue highlighted area and select "Send to"
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and note where the folder is saved.
Upload that .zip file with your next post.

If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service . I recommend Windows Live SkyDrive - http://skydrive.live.com or another free, file-hosting service. Then post the link to it in your topic so that we can download it.

Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDump

Scan for viruses using one of these free online antivirus scanners: Free Online AntiMalware Scanners
If not infected, then go to Windows Update and install SP1.

There are issues with these devices:

Consumer IR Devices ROOT\SYSTEM\0001 This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.

Security Processor Loader Driver ROOT\LEGACY_SPLDR\0000 This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.

eHome Infrared Receiver (USBCIR) USB\VID_0471&PID_0815\PH00VEVG This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device.

The first and last will be drivers from the manufacturer's website. The middle one is a Windows driver, and will likely be fixed by Windows Update.

The majority of the BSOD's are due to STOP 0x117 - a video card error. STOP 0x117 is very similar to STOP 0x116, so please use the troubleshooting steps here: http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lo...op-0x116-video_tdr_error-troubleshooting.html These errors are from January, so don't be surprised if you don't find a problem there.

The rest of the errors resemble a hardware issue, so please do the following:

I suggest starting all troubleshooting with the following diagnostic tests. They'll save you a lot of time and heartache if there is a hardware failure, and you'll have the disks on hand in case you need them in the future:

Please start by running these bootable hardware diagnostics:

HD Diagnostic (read the details at the link)

Nope nothing, not even with a search through just the windows folder.

-Okay done that. Not sure if it matters, but instead of 64 it says 256kb for small memory dump. Also for systemroot it was set with capital letters. Not sure if that made a difference but I changed it.

Doing that right now since about 1.5h with eset. Windows online scan came up eith an error.

Infected, so far one trojan and one adware. Correction: 2 Trojan - *******s.
Installed SP1 already. About a day after first BSOD. There was just the one and all ran fine after reboot. Next morning got the messages for updates.

What do I do about it, no idea what these drivers are for, don't use any infrared on my computer.

Yes you do use the IR devices (since the drivers are trying to load).
We'll need a more exact model number for your motherboard in order to find the drivers at the Gigabyte website.

Ah, My bad the IR could be my Logitech Mouse Keyboard combo. Sorry...
Should I go and check on Logitech's site for another driver?
All drives are okay.
But still no memory or minidump files.

Oh and double checked for SP1 - didn't install!!! Also:tried to install again and crashed. Again.

It's possible that the Logitech drivers contain this driver.
If you do download the driver, please provide a link here.
I'll see if I can extract the drivers from the installation package to see if they are in there.
