BSOD Error: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Hello,

for the past few weeks ive been getting blue screen, and i would like some help. i have installed windows SDK and read the minidump but i cant pinpoint the error. i used the SF diagnostic tool and attached it to this thread, any help would be much appreciated.

Usual causes: Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility

We can start with uninstalling the following software:

:note: If you have a back-up tool, please uninstall it for troubleshooting purpose.

:info: Uninstall Eset antivirus with its removal tool.
Uninstall the other programs using Revo Uninstaller in Advanced Mode (to clear remaining registry entries of the programs)

These software can tend to cause BSOD's. The windows 7 operating system does not require these registry cleaning software. They often tune-down rather than tune-up and can wreck the OS beyond repair. Microsoft have improved Windows 7 significantly and it is much better at organising and optimising itself than its predecessors. Check this, this and this thread for evidence.

If you feel the need to use a registry cleaning or optimisation software, most of us recommend the use of CCleaner but make sure you back up the registry before making letting ccleaner delete anything. You may make use of the great in-built Disk Cleanup and Extended Disk Cleanup if required to do so, regarding de-frag utilities, I recommend yet again the in-built http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11733-disk-defragmenter-open-use.html & Puran Defrag which is much reliable compared to others.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

Run the System File Checker. It allows the user to scan for and restore corruptions in Windows system files.

1.removed software,
2. ran scannow, it reported errors, i have added the log.
3.ran checkdisc without errors.
4.bios is one before last, only change is added support for certain cpu's.

it still feels sluggish, i removed new wifi dongle(icidu wireless N mini) and installed old sweex, doesnt seem to matter.
still BSOD'd
how much will a fresh install help?

Let us check for problematic drivers:

Driver Verifier

Use verifier for 36 hours. Then send us the BSOD reports

I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash because [/B]Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out. If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation (an estimate on my part).

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

Update;

after not completely reading your post and starting verifier, i had to reinstall.... i dont read manuals either....
it seems to work, i do have to say i am using my old wifi dongle, after reading about bad drivers for my new icidu wifi dongle.

i used prime to see if my OC (ive been on an i7 920 overclocked from 2,66ghz to 4ghz for 1,5 year now)would hold, and it seems to be happy.

but i am sceptical, so ill see what happens in the coming weeks and ill update in a week or so, many thanks for the help, greet Bas
