Hello,

2 days ago, I had a couple BSOD errors which occurred when playing "Counter-Strike: GO". I figured that they were related to my graphics drivers, and since then have updated them. The BSOD stopped occuring after that.

Today however, a new BSOD error occured, talking about a potential bios issue, however there was no driver listed and no dump was collected after the issue. Because of this I decided to use verifier.exe to figure out which driver caused the issue.

I followed the steps outlined here and my system did indeed bsod upon startup, before even reaching the user screen.

This dump file should be the most recent one, and the one I am having trouble with. The required files are attached.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi There,

This last one you are concerned with is caused by Comodo,

Code:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for cmdguard.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for cmdguard.sys
Probably caused by : cmdguard.sys ( cmdguard+8339 )

Followup: MachineOwner
---------

Driver Reference Table - cmdguard.sys

You might want to uninstall it for the time being if you are troubleshooting another issue.

When you say a potential BIOS issue, what was it that pointed you to that?

Bios

When you say a potential BIOS issue, what was it that pointed you to that?

When the BSOD occured, it recommended me to check with my bios version and see if there was an update available. I didn't know if that was a standard message or unique to the error that occurred.

In any event, thanks. I will try fidgeting with comodo's settings and if it continues to bsod, I will uninstall it.

That could be related to a certain Bugcheck, as a possible cause there are quite a few with BIOS as a possible cause.

Let us know how it goes.
