Hi all, I'm experiencing an aggravating BSOD after a new computer build. This never happens when I'm using the PC, it always happens when relatively idle - even if just Foobar2000 (music player) is running, or Windows login is just sitting there waiting for my password.

I've already uninstalled the Gigabyte App software, that admittedly I installed from CD at build, and initially uninstalled EasyTuner, which was indicated as the error process in my crash dump file.

Thank you for any assistance!

Unless you get another crash, you are good to go :)
Gigabyte software is known for causing 0x124 crashes and it seems Gigabyte was active in every crash from the past week.

Hi axe0, the crash still happened after uninstalling the gigabyte software, and the attached .zip was made after that as well. Thanks for the help!

Then please recheck that every Gigabyte software has been removed properly, the EasyTuner was everytime active.

Okay, so I've uninstalled all of the Gigabyte software. Each time I check my dump after BSOD, it still comes up saying:

PROCESS_NAME: EasyTuneEngine

with the same

FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x124_GenuineIntel_VRF_PROCESSOR_MAE.

When I search from the Start menu for EasyTune, the only folders that come up are EasyTune with an empty folder inside called Profiles.

I'm wondering how, if I've uninstalled all of the Gigabyte software, which included EasyTune, this is still coming up in my dumps?

Thank you for your help axe0!

Ah! It gets deeper.

After installing Revo Uninstaller, it offered me an uninstall of EasyTuneService - whereas previously I had simply used the Windows uninstaller which led me to believe I had cleared EasyTune.

Revo Uninstaller clearly had quite a bit of things to remove related to EasyTuneService. I got rid of all that I could through this program, and will now see if my problem continues.

I'll keep you updated :D
