Hi,

Hopefully someone can help me, asI've been suffering BSOD issues with my desktop PC and so far I have been unable to resolve the issues. I have run memtest on the computer and it has come back fine, so I am at a loss as to what the issue is.

My spec is:

The specification is:

Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz
MSI ATI Radeon HD 6870 OC HAWK 1024MB GDDR5
Asus P67 Sabertooth Intel P67 ** B3 REVISION **
OCZ Agility 3 60GB 2.5" SATA-3 Solid State Hard Drive
Corsair TX 750W ATX SLI Compliant Power Supply
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103SJ) x 4
Corsair XMS3 8GB DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz

I've attached as much information as possible, hopefully this is enough to help pinpoint the issue.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ross

It's had the BSOD 3 times since this post, so I've attached to this post the DMP files from the latest crashes.

Thanks,

Ross

Hello Ross,

Have you tried updating all latest drivers for your mobo from Asus? Some of the dumps point to faulty drivers, tcpip was mentioned twice...

Are you OC-ing the Sabertooth?

I have the same board and it took some time to get things right.
Also check your powersetting. If unstable, do not do ANY energysaving...

If you need help on how to check these things, post back please...

Thanks for the response.

I think the cause was a driver(ish) issue. There has been numerous issues with the Agility 3 SSD's and the BSOD has been one of the major issues. They released a new update for the drive and since then I have not had a BSOD (touchwood).

Will do. I'll test it until Sunday and if it hasn't BSOD again by then, I will mark it as solved :D

Thanks again :D

Well it was definitely the Agility 3. After updating the firmware rather than BSODing, it started locking up. Seems that OCZ released the Agility 3 / Vertex 3 while they are still in beta (going on similar complaints on their forum). With every firmware update the drive was getting slower and slower (to a point that my 1tb Samsung F3 7200rpm's were scoring higher is AS SSD than the Agility 3). OCZ tried to blame the marvell sata 3 controller on my motherboard, but I replaced the SSD with a 128gb Crucial C300 and it now flies! It's now quicker than the day I built the PC back in June :D

Thanks again for your help. I'm happy that after 2 months of trying to troubleshoot the issue, it's finally fixed :D (it's cost me a shed load to get to the issue, as the BSOD logs were blaming everything from my AVG Internet Security software to other software, so I ended up replacing it all).

Have a great weekend.

Thanks,

Ross

Thank you very much for posting back! Your story shows how difficult dump analysis and fault finding can be...
Thx again!
