BSOD, Event 41, Kernel-Power, bugcheck code 209/64/10

Hello,


"Driver Irql Not less or equal" and "System service exception" (only once or two).

I believe the first message keeps appearing since I updated my graphics card to the GeForce 1030, months ago. This thing usually happens when I am playing or transfering files from one drive to another, especially small files.

I think all drivers are up to date, since there are no updates of drivers to the motherboard or processor.

I checked the memmories with memtest included in windows and they are ok. I also changed the power supply recently. I have started to question the health of the motherboard with some loss of power with malfunctioning chips...
I don't know what to do anymore and I would appreciate some help.

Run WhoCrashed and see what that says. Resplendence Software - WhoCrashed, automatic crash dump analyzer

BSODs are usually caused by hardware or drivers. In your case, I suspect a DLL of some type interfering with the GPU driver. But that's just a guess.

I believe as well on what you suspect since it wasn't easy to correct install the gpu driver...


I have run the program but it seems windows is deleting the dump files, so I have no reports.
Now, I performed a crash dump test and the resulting file was here, so I am hoping that windows will show the info next time...

Is this the driver you installed? If not, this is the one you want. NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce Game Ready Driver WHQL

If it's not that driver, use RevoUninstaller in Safe Mode and get rid of what you have now. This driver is WHQL certified so it shouldn't cause a BSOD. At least that's the theory. Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download

I had the previous driver version (it was also WHQL). I downloaded and installed it five days before the release of the new one...
Anyway, I used Revo in safe mode and installed the new one afterwards, as you suggested.
Now, I believe is wait and see...

If it happens again fire up Whocrashed. If you don't have dumps turned on Whocrashed will tell you and should say how to turn it on. You should see if they are on now before it happens again.
