Solved BSOD from Out of Nowhere, Everything Running Fine Before First BSOD

Hello Seven Forums community, this is my first post here!

So I made this PC, and haven't gotten any problems or BSOD (just one with a faulty GPU, fixed that already)
Yesterday, I turned on the PC and noticed it went from my desktop to black then a BSOD appeared, and I got freaked out, heh.

I went into Safe Mode with Networks and searched for some help (had no BSOD on Safe Mode) and read it MIGHT have something to do with overclocking. (I have my processor to 4.2GHz), so I defaulted the frequency and voltage but still got the BSOD.

Later that day it booted up no problem (don't know why). Even played some games and no BSOD at all! But today I booted up and same story, getting the BSOD.

I'm uploading the files since I've ran out of ideas.
Could be caused by hal.ddl or ntoskrnl.exe? I'm not really sure about it.

Thanks!

Hello, Kronenbouget and welcome to the forums. I have looked at all your recent dump files and they are all the same.

Code:
Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.
[COLOR=red]BugCheck 124[/COLOR], {0, fffffa800fa73028, bf800000, 200401}
Probably caused by : GenuineIntel
Followup: MachineOwner

Code:
[COLOR=red]WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR[/COLOR] (124)
[COLOR=red]A fatal hardware error has occurred[/COLOR]. Parameter 1 identifies the type of error
source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the
WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure that describes the error conditon.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000000, Machine Check Exception
Arg2: fffffa8012d1e028, Address of the WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure.
Arg3: 00000000bf800000, High order 32-bits of the MCi_STATUS value.
Arg4: 0000000000200401, Low order 32-bits of the MCi_STATUS value.

An 0X124 error is a generic Hardware error, meaning some piece of hardware has gone bad/is going bad. Or, it could be a very corrupted driver causing some piece of hardware to act if it is dying. The error gives us no idea of which piece of hardware it is. I know you said you set everything to defaults, but I would like you to do something just to make sure.

Please go into bios and look at your SATA Controller and see what it is set to (IDE, AHCI or Raid) and remember which it is. Then set Optimized Defaults. After Defaults are set, go back to the sata controller and make certain it is set to the same as it was when you first checked. Otherwise it will not boot. Check your ram and make sure it is set to the Manufacturer's Frequency, Timings and Dram Voltage. Set your Boot Order, save and exit. Make no other changes.

When you get into the OS, if you don't have it download and install CPUz CPU-Z | Softwares | CPUID Please upload screenshots here of the CPU, Mainboard, memory and SPD tabs. On the SPD tab you can select each Dimm Slot from a dropdown list in the upper left. Just post the Dimm Slots that have ram installed. This will tell you how to upload screenshots and files at Sevenforums http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html.

If you have any of the Gigabyte utilities installed, uninstall every one of them. They are known causes of BSODs.

Then please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Let us know how it goes after that. Thanks.

Hello essenbe

I am currently typing this from my computer in Normal mode, I haven't got a BSOD in 5 hours. If I turn on the computer tomorrow and get BSOD, I will do everything you listed; If I don't get BSOD I will mark as solved.

I find it weird that League, MGS are causing me problems (I play them almost daily); but I did unisntall Corsair LINK, since my bsod research led me to believe that it was causing me troubles.

Also I will unisntall the GIGABYTE utilities, always had trouble with those anyways. Thank you!

Alrighty so I turn on and got BSOD, I'm going to do what you asked me to, I'll go to bios first, I deleted the GIGABYTE utilities already.

EDIT: Errr I deleted them but didn't uninstall, woops. I tried but it says Error 1719. Windows Installer service could not be accesed.

I'll just try to do the first thing you asked me then try to unistall if I get to boot up on normal mode

Okay, so I did that, and got into the OS and ran CPU-Z. Got the screenshots now and I'm gonna do the command prompt thing.

Oh, and another thing. I'm a bit worried tho, when I uninstalled App Center (it's from GIGABYTE), it did uninstall all the stuffs and utilities but I think it also uninstalled @BIOS, will this cause trouble? I tried going into the GIGABYTE to download a new bios but it says my system does not match the the one I downloaded. Any insights? I'll edit when I'm done with command prompt thing.

Go to Windows Updates, click Installed Updates on the left, search for KB3022345 and KB3068708. If you find them uninstall them (http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/24373-windows-update-uninstall-update.html), reboot and run the sfc scan again. Keep a watch out on Windows Updates. Windows will try to install them again. Find them before they are installed, right click them and select hide. You shouldn't have to worry about them again.

Just use your computer as normal.

I would wait a few days and make sure. Did you run the sfc scan again and get 'no integrity violations'? Give it a few days first.
