BSOD General browsing and downloading a 58mb file

Hi Folks,

I have been getting random BSODs for a while now. Probably one every week or fortnight. It always points to a driver called ntoskrnl.exe

It is a relatavly new computer and I am now at a loose end. I have attached the minidump file.

I hope to hear from you soon and If I get it sorted I will post what fixes the problem.

What changes you made recently? Done anything like updating, installing drivers etc?
I don't know exactly. But within my knowledge I like to help you.
Usually, blue screens like these occurs when you have a corrupted hard disk or windows.
(Maybe because of other reasons too)

Try booting into safe mode with command prompt and type in "chkdsk /f" without the quotation marks and wait a while.
This will erase or fix any corrupted data on the HDD.

If you don't see anything unusual in the diagnostic log, then try System File Checker Tool.

Hi Thanks for this info.

Weirdly enough it seems to be becoming more persistent now. It has BSOD literally 3 times in the last hour.

The SFC Scan showed errors as attached. I am not 100% sure but my computer BSOD after I had fitted an SSD hard drive. Although everything usually works fine. I know when I was buying the Kingston SSD 64GB there was some problems with firmware but I checked mine before installing and the update program told me I had the latest fix for the drive so I rulled that out.

Okay. Seems like its because of the SSD(its drivers or software). Not sure though.
Try rebooting into Safe Mode & use SFC again.

Tried that SFC in safe mode and I got the same info "Some corrupt files could not be repaired"

I wonder why bluescreenview always says "cause by ntoskrnl.exe" also with the +7cc40 address?

I wish I knew more about these things
