Greetings,

Since a while back my computer has been BSOD:ing mostly while playing games utilizing 3D models, and while using Firefox or Chrome. Sometimes it just starts with some graphical glitches and then explorer.exe might die, but it always ends in a BSOD.

Thanks in Advance
Usch

It's a former workstation that I received as a gift from my brother. It's from the office where he worked, so exactly from where the Enterprise edtion comes from sadly I do not know.

As aforementioned I'm a secondary owner of this computer, thus I can't really answer to what is edited or not. But if possible I'd like to refrain from doing a clean windows installation, and that's why I'm asking for help here.

You said you will like to refrain from doing a clean installation . If your hard drive dies how would you go about installing Windows to a brand new hard drive ?

To get a legit product key you would have to purchase a Windows 7 copy either Retail or a OEM system builder copy .

Differences between the two

Retail : comes with two DVDs but one product key that will activate either bit versions . 32-bit DVD and 64-bit DVD
Also could be reinstalled on any new hardware .

OEM System Builders : comes with only one DVD either 32-bit or 64-bit and a key to go with the DVD . Can only be installed on the PC it first was installed on .
