BSOD happening ramdomly Error Code 50

Hello I am new to the forums.

I just built this system three day ago been having issues with error code 50 mostly. I already tested the RAM and it showed no errors after 10 hours of testing.

The system specs are
CPU - Intel Core i7 3770k
Video Card - EVGA GTX 680
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 2x 4GB sticks
Main Hard Drive is Crucial M4 128GB fw 309

Here is the minidump files, this is my first time doing this hopefully I did it right.

Driver Verifier

Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition.
Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is.
But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver.
Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows.
If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.

I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise.
Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
NOTE: You can use Low Resource Simulation if you'd like.
From my limited experimentation it makes the BSOD's come faster.
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

If you are using win 8 add these

- Concurrency Stress Test
- DDI compliance checking

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen.
Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly.
The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.
If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.
Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.


If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

The Motherboard I use is an ASUS P8 Z77-V Pro. I looked around online and people said it was possibly the AI Suite that comes with the motherboard. I'm not sure.

Here you are, I just had a blue screen a few minutes ago the error code was e6. The verifier is on it stayed on for more than 8 hours until it blue screened.

Two issues

The most recent were Related to asmtxhci.sys XHCI Host Controller Driver from ASMedia Technology Inc I would re-install newest driver

And of course Related to AsUpIO.sys Signed by from ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Yours from 2010 and in serious need of updating

Ok I found the drivers for xHCI Controllers. I cannot find another version of the AI Suite.

This is the one I tried to use before and it gave me errors on Verifier right away

Don't really think I need it, its just things to boost USB sppeds and change fan speeds mostly and Overclocking which is something I don't intend on doing.

Just about an hour ago I had another blue screen occur this time it was BCCode: a I believe. I am attaching the minidump so you can see.

Edit: The error happened again about an hour after the first error BCCode: a again. I removed the old minidumps zip and updated it to include both reports of the error.

Edit 2: So I just got home and I have three more blue screens to add to the minidump. The very last one was error 7f I have no idea what the other two were as I was not home.

Your most recent crash indicates corrupted Windows files. Disable Verifier using the steps in post #2 by zigzag3143. Re-enable Verifier using the steps in post #2 by zigzag3143.

There were no errors with Disk Check on all 4 drives. SFC /Scannow 3 times and no errors either.

I did have another two or three blue screens. One during playing Diablo 3 another just happened ramdomly.

I am about to to re-enable the verifier now.

Edit: Verifier is enabled I've had two more blue screens since. I am changing the rar to show the two new errors.

Edit 2: Another blue screen, I caught the file that caused it the name was afd.sys. Changing the rar again to show that error in it.

The crashes are network related. Probably network drivers are corrupted and need to be re-installed. Could also be a corrupted antivirus or firewall program or a conflict it is creating with your network drivers.

Disable Verifier before doing the following.

Please upload your msinfo32.txt file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Export -> Save as msinfo32.txt and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .txt file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.



To fully re-install a driver, use the following steps.
  1. First, download the latest driver. Then do the next steps.
  2. Click Start Menu
  3. Right Click My Computer/Computer
  4. Click Manage
  5. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
  6. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
  7. Right click the device
  8. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  9. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
  10. Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
  11. Install the latest driver for the device.

Alternatively:
  1. Login as an adminstrative user.
  2. First, download the latest driver. Then do the next steps.
  3. Click Start Menu
  4. Click Control Panel
  5. Click Hardware and Sound
  6. Click Device Manager (the last link under Devices and Printers)
  7. Find the device you are trying to uninstall by expanding the appropriate set of devices
  8. Right click the device
  9. Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)
  10. Put a tick in Delete driver software for this device (if this option is available, otherwise just hit OK) and hit OK
  11. Restart your computer only if Windows asks you to.
  12. Install the latest driver for the device.

I actually saw quite a bit of corruption in your crash files. You should also re-install your graphics drivers. Your current drivers may be corrupt and/or outdated. Use the following method to re-install the drivers.

  1. Download the drivers you want for your display card(s)
  2. Click Start Menu
  3. Click Control Panel
  4. Click Uninstall a program
  5. For NVIDIA:
    • Uninstall the NVIDIA Graphics Driver (this should uninstall all NVIDIA software and drivers)
    • Restart your computer
    • Make sure NVIDIA 3D Vision Driver, NVIDIA 3D Vision Video Player, NVIDIA HD Audio Driver, and NVIDIA PhysX System Software are not still listed under Uninstall a program through Control Panel
    • If any remain of the above, uninstall one at a time
    • If asked to restart after uninstalling any of the above, do so, and continue uninstalling any remaining NVIDIA items until all are removed
  6. For AMD:
    • Uninstall AMD Catalyst Install Manager if it is listed (this should remove all AMD graphics software and drivers)
    • If AMD Catalyst Install Manager is not listed, use the following method to uninstall the graphics drivers:
      1. Click Start Menu
      2. Right Click My Computer/Computer
      3. Click Manage
      4. Click Device Manager from the list on the left
      5. Expand Display adapters
      6. Do the following for each adapter (in case you have multiple display cards)
        • Right click the adapter
        • Click Uninstall (do not click OK in the dialog box that pops up after hitting Uninstall)

Ok just re-installed the drivers. I did have another blue screen before I removed my old drivers and put the new ones on.

Please provide your latest disk check logs. Instead of searching for chkdsk in Event Viewer as in the instructions in my previous post, you may need to search for wininit.

The latest crash indicates hard disk problems again. This could mean hard disk corruption, bad sectors, a failing hard disk, Windows files or registry corruption, viruses, or memory problems.
  • If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.

  • Run Disk Check with Automatically fix file system errors checked. Post back your logs for the checks after finding them using http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/96938-check-disk-chkdsk-read-event-viewer-log.html.
    For any drives that do not give the message:
    Windows has checked the file system and found no problems
    run disk check again as above. In other words, if it says:
    Windows has made corrections to the file system
    after running the disk check, run the disk check again.

  • Check Windows for corruption. Run http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html up to three times to fix all errors with a restart in between each. Post back if it continues to show errors after a fourth run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations. Use OPTION THREE of http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html to provide us with the sfcdetails.txt file if errors occur.

  • Download and install Malwarebytes, update it, do not start the free trial, and then run a full scan. Also run a full scan with your antivirus software installed on your system. If you do not have antivirus software installed, see the http://www.sevenforums.com/system-s...-system-security-combination.html#post1732627 for better security steps and scanning tools. Make sure to update the security software before running the full scan.

  • Run the boot version of Memtest86+ paying close attention to Parts 2 and 3 of the tutorial. Also, in case Memtest86+ misses anything and comes up with no errors, run the extended version of the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool for at least five passes. These you may want to run overnight since they take a long time to complete (run them an hour before bed each of the next two nights and check before going to sleep that they are still running).
       Warning
    Before you proceed with the following, answer these two questions: Are you still under warranty? Does your warranty allow you to open up the machine to check hardware? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, contact your system manufacturer. :warn:WARNING: The steps that follow can void your warranty!!!

    For Part 3: If You Have Errors: If you swap any memory components, follow these steps for ESD safety:
    1. Shut down and turn off your computer.
    2. Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
    3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
    4. Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer tower/case by finding a metal hold in it, such as a drive bay.
    Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

Here is the C Drive chkdsk log. The other three drives showed no errors.

Malwarebytes is done scanning it found 3 things, they are key-gens which usually give false positives.I went ahead and removed them to see if that could of been part of the issue.

About to start running Memtest86+. I will update in a few hours.

The disk check came up clean. Good to remove anything that might be malicious just in case, so nice work. Let us know the results of the Memtest86+ diagnostics.

Ok I ran both sticks on at the same time and after two passes four errors came up. Took out one of the sticks and let it run for two passes and it already had four errors. Took that stick out put the other one in and it has gone nine passes and zero errors. So I need to RMA them it seems. It sucks they aren't even two months old.
