BSOD help Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium

BIOS updated.

NVIDIA Drivers uninstalled, cleaned using driversweeper and then re-installed.

CHKDSK done, found no problems.

SFC results below.

Code:
C:\Windows\system32>SFC /SCANNOW
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 95% complete.
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
C:\Windows\system32>

I've done extensive memtest on the weekend (left it running for 24 hours) and found no problems.

On the bright side, since this morning I haven't had any BSODs (touch-wood), so it looks like there's a lot of progress!

Problems, still persisting are that I'm unable to complete Windows update:

- Code 800736B3 (Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7 Service Park 1 for x64-based Systems (KB2817183))
- Code 8007000D (Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2808735))
- Code 8007000D (Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2813170))

yes all the windows updates worked after running SUR Tool.

I'm running a full scan of the PC using MSE now as I've not been able to run it before. Will probably take a while and it's nearly midnight here, so will leave it running throughout the night.

Will report back on the status tomorrow morning.

Thanks and good night VK.

Hi VK,

Pleased to say, it's 2nd day in a row that I haven't had a single BSOD. Just wanted to thank you for all your help.

It is ok to leave this thread open till the weekend, just in case the BSOD starts reoccurring?

Thanks,

Asif

Hi,

Unfortunately I've just had a couple of BSODs this morning :-(. I started the PC today (Friday, 19th) after not using it since Wednesday, 17th evening. The 4 days leading up the 17th, the PC did not have a single BSOD. I've attached the SF diagnostics from this morning's BSOD. The PC crashed even while I was running an SF diagnostics. After I powered down the PC and did a cold boot, the crash has not re-occurred.

I'm seeing a pattern here that if I leave the PC unused for more than a day and then start using it, I get numerous BSODs. Then after a cold boot, the BSOD does not re-occur. Is this unheard of?

Thanks,

Asif

It is reported that your Nvidia driver is at fault:
Driver: nvlddmkm.sys
Dated: Fri Mar 15 01:37:00 2013

Your drivers look to be the latest and despite this, are still crashing.
Please follow these instructions to install an earlier stable driver as a test:

1. Download and install Driver Fusion.
2. Reboot the computer in Advanced Boot Options, safe mode. Search Driver Fusion in your start menu, and remove all components of your nVidia display driver.
3. If it says the the free version of Driver Fusion cannot remove all the elements, stop there and follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
4. Boot normally now. Go to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers, Drivers > Beta and Legacy; search there with your cards particulars for GeForce 306.23 Driver, dated 13.9.2012 and install it.
Also Stress test your Graphics Card using Furmark.

Don't shout...I've got a Hangover!
Hi Dave,

Started up the computer after a couple of days rest and soon after windows started up and I logged in, I got BSOD :-(

Immediately after BSOD reboot, I ran the SF Diagnostics Tool, whilst it was running I got another BSOD :-((

SFDT logs for both BSODs attached.

Weirdly, SFDT seems to be running msinfo32.exe*32 for a long long time. I tried to kill the process and as soon as I did, I got another BSOD. Not happened to me before. msinfo32 seems to run for ages and it's using up a heck load of CPU.
