I have been having BSODs for several weeks. I ran Memtest86 and found 2 bad sticks of ram and removed them. I have run the same test on the remaining sticks 3 times with no errors. I learned from reading here that norton can cause bsods. I uninstalled norton but kept getting them. I did a secure erase on my SSD and did a clean install of windows and installed MSE. Some of the files I am going to try and upload are before the new install and some after. I hope this works.

I hope these worked - it didn't last time. Thanks for any help you can give.

Error code 50, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. Usual causes: Defective hardware (particularly memory - but not just RAM), Faulty system service, Antivirus, Device driver, NTFS corruption, BIOS.
The dump blames NTFS.sys which is your file system driver. NTFS.sys is highly unlikely to be the cause since it is a Windows system driver. Note the usual causes above.

Norton/Symantec was very much on your system when the crash occurred. If you have not already done so, I suggest you uninstall it using this removal tool: Tool.

I find an out of date driver on your system that needs updating.
Rt64win7.sys 2/26/2009 - Realtek 8101E/8168/8169 Network Driver Interface Specification 6.20 64-bit Driver. Latest PCIe GBE (GigaBit Ethernet) drivers here: Realtek. Update this driver.
Based on NTFS.sys being blames I suggest that you run Check Disk.
Run CHKDSK /R /F from an elevated (Run as adminstrator) Command Prompt. Please do this for each hard drive on your system.
When it tells you it can't do it right now - and asks you if you'd like to do it at the next reboot - answer Y (for Yes) and press Enter. Then reboot and let the test run. It may take a while for it to run, but keep an occasional eye on it to see if it generates any errors. See "CHKDSK LogFile" below in order to check the results of the test.

Elevated Command Prompt:
Go to Start and type in "cmd.exe" (without the quotes)
At the top of the Search Box, right click on Cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator"

CHKDSK LogFile:
Go to Start and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Expand the Windows logs heading, then select the Application log file entry.
Double click on the Source column header.
Scroll down the list until you find the Chkdsk entry (wininit for Windows 7).

Copy/paste the results into your next post.

Uninstall Norton and update the above driver. Let's see how your system does. Update us and let us know.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except,
it must be protected by a Probe. Typically the address is just plain bad or it
is pointing at freed memory.
Arguments:
Arg1: fffff8200843f970, memory referenced.
Arg2: 0000000000000000, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation.
Arg3: fffff880012bac50, If non-zero, the instruction address which referenced the bad memory
    address.
Arg4: 0000000000000005, (reserved)

I updated the driver from the link Carl gave me. I uninstalled Norton yesterday and then did a secure erase of my SSD before doing a custom install of windows 7. I did not have Norton on this install, I installed MSE. I ran checkdisk and I think these are the results:

Chkdsk the old fashioned way. Get an elevated command prompt. Let's assume you have another drive mapped, such as D:

chkdsk d: /f /r

That's it.

I ran check disk on drive E with no errors found. Drive F (1TB WD) was only being used for storage. I used diskpart and ran the clean cmd, created partition primary and formatted it NTFS. So, There should be no problem with it. So far, no more bsods (crossing fingers). Will submit a new thread if I have more problems. Thanks again - guys like you make this forum the best.

Sorry to do this, but I just had another bsod. this is the information from event viewer. This is the first one I have had where the blue screen stayed up. In the past the blue screen just flashed and the computer restarted. There were two entrys for the crash, both are attached.

As you know, dump is another error code 50 and blames NTFS.sys. You have already run Disk Check. I suggest that you run a hard drive program from your hard drive manufacturer's website; read this article: HD Diagnostic. I want to either confirm or rule out your hard drive.

Next I suggest your run Memtest to test your RAM. Follow the instructions in this tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html. Read through the whole first post in the tutorial. Run Memtest from a cold boot after your computer has been off for a while. Post back with your results.
