You are lucky because at least you can finish converting before the BSOD. I kept getting BSOD with ConvertXtoDVD which was working great in Vista x64. After the upgrade to Windows 7, it ALWAYS gets BSOD while converting.

I've upgraded to ConvertXtoDVD 4.0.3.312, but it still has the same problem. I also tried running in different compatibility modes and as administrator with no luck. I also installed debugging tools from the tutorial but don't know where the dump files are located.

Let us know if you find out what was wrong and how you fixed it!

Check the location in My Computer > Properties > Advanced > Startup & Recovery > System Failure

Minidump is usually located in %SystemRoot%\Minidump

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
I keep trying to open the minidump file but it says "Win32 error 0n5, Access is denied".

I have installed the version 3.8.0j of ConvertxtoDVD that have been released on 10-08-2009. Everything seems to work perfect now. I rip dvd's and burn them through this program and i have never seen BSOD again...

Gwindor, I'm glad it's working better for you now :)

HughShaw, if you'd like to upload your minidump file perhaps someone could take a look at it for you.

It's worth a try. I can't seem to open the files myself and doubt I'd be able to read anything if I did. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

HughShaw quick analysis of your minidump is blaming the problem on hardware.

Your system runs fine with Vista? With Windows 7 do you get any BSOD at any other times or is it only related to ConvertXtoDVD software?

Yes, everything was quite perfect with Vista. I am getting 100% BSOD when converting with ConvertXtoDVD 4 & AVS Video Converter 6. Thanks for your help though.

It seems related to video conversion, which can be highly intensive on hardware.

Do your BSOD always show the same bugcheck value?

Maybe you should stop overclocking for a while.

You are correct! After updating to Windows 7, I upgraded my BIOS which erased my overclocked voltage settings resulting in the BSOD. Thanks again! :D
