Hi --

I installed the latest Bigfoot Network Adapter driver as this fixes iTunes 10.5 App Store issues etc. I was able to install it successfully. However, after restarting my machine, BSOD IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE appears after a few minutes. I found similar issues regarding this in SF and it appears that McAfee is one of the several causes of this. So after rebooting I tried disabling McAfee firewall and I didn't get the BSOD anymore. I tried enabling it again and I get the same BSOD.

I'm attaching my BSOD error report to seek help in identifying other potential causes of this.

What would you guys suggest as a replacement for McAfee? (Paid or free)

Here are my specs:

Alienware m17x R3 Laptop
Windows 7 Home Premium x64
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2720QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
RAM: 8GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M

Hope you guys can help me with this issue.

Thanks,
Robert

Hi Everyone,

Same here I'm having the same issues using Alienware m17x R3.
After updating the driver to fix the itunes/safari/icloud applications on a windows 7 ultimate x64 I constantly get a BSOD usually within the first minute of login to Windows.

If I'm on wired then no BSOD.
I uninstalled Mcafee completely but bad part is purchased with 24 months version.
But now the laptop is running smoothly again.

Thanks
David
