Hi All. I'm getting that nasty IRQL_LESS_OR_EQUAL message randomly while playing games. I have run memtest, it says all is ok. I have attached the dumps, any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Edit: Thanks Ken, the attachment wasn't zipped, so it kept failing.

I tried to un-install the ATI drivers completely and re-install them clean, hoping this would fix the issue, but after about 2.5 hours of my son playing World of Warcraft, it crashed again during the game. I really don't think it's the video drivers.

I ran memtest 6 passes, came back with no errors. I'll try it again. I did have 4 sticks of the dominiator memory, one did go bad around 4 months ago. Maybe 1 (or more) of the others are acting up.

Thanks for the reply ttran, appreciate it very much.

Hi,

I notice that you have McAfee installed, and one of the drivers (mfehidk.sys) was mentioned in one of the minidumps.

If you are still getting BSODs I recommend that you uninstall it temporarily, just to check that it is not the issue.

McAfee uninstalltion instructions:
jcgriff2 said:
Download the McAfee Removal Tool (MRT); save to desktop. Boot into SAFEMODE - NO Networking. Tap F8 key during boot-up. Then go to desktop, RIGHT-click on the MRT icon and select Run as Administrator.

When complete - re-boot.

MRT - http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

Install MS Security Essentials --> http://www.microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Then reset the Windows Firewall to its default settings -
START -> type cmd.exe -> right-click -> run as administrator -> type netsh advfirewall reset press enter

Regards,
Reventon

I had gone 4 days without it, but my son reported that he got one today. He actually said the screen flashed a message about "a hidek" error. That's pretty close to what you mention reventon. I will look into this tonight.

Thanks a ton!
