Hello, since adding a GTX 970 G1 SOC 4GB, and a new WD Blue 1TB 7200 RPM HDD, I am getting bluescreens for three different reasons. The first is stated in the title, the second is SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, and the final is ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY. I don't know what to do to stop these bluescreens so any help would be awesome!

I will check that out and see if it does help, thank you! I have seen the 0x124 every time so far, and it has only happened mainly when I run Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution or Full Burst 3, WHILE having Google Chrome tabs open as well as a few folders open in Windows itself.

I've also started using IOBit's Driver Booster as well as Advanced System Care, I'm currently scanning with ASC and I've updated the old drivers with DB, I will report back and to let you know if the outdated drivers were the possible cause of the issue.

Alright, despite getting all up-to-date drivers etc., and confirming that my cpu is not being overclocked, I am still getting the bluescreen IF I run basically anything at all parallel to Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution and Storm 3 Full Burst. This has only started happening after I upgraded to the GTX 970 and got the new HDD. However, I can play other way more GPU/CPU intensive games with other programs/Chrome running with no bluescreen.

Ok Spence mate one thing I noticed is you have Iobits on board and personally it is something I don't think you need I wouldn't have anything Iobits on my machines - full stop. If it is drivers you are after just get them from the manufacturers. Too get exact info on your components nothing comes better than this from a little ditty of mine

Using HW Info
PART A:
You can test the volts on the PSU with HW Info HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download < download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensors and scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts are doing see my pic.
The original right hand window shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at the components in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel
FOR OTHER COMPONENTS
PART B:
Open each + down into the component itself and then click on it - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of details including brands speeds and other essential info that device. See pic for example.

in part B: you can open out the components and I have attached a pic of some of my stuff.

Now I want you to run part A: too and post back the pic as in mine please.

Thank you for all of that, I also found out that my CPU was overheating when playing most games, I reapplied thermal paste as well as finding a disconnected fan which i reconnected. I also set my CPU fan to always max, and am not experiencing the overheating anymore, but I have not tested the BSOD's related to Naruto since. Might I ask what is wrong with Iobit? I have personally used them a good bit and haven't noticed anything wrong with them yet, but if there are problems with them, please let me know what those are and I will act accordingly! Thanks!

Now looking at the volts they are fine though the 5VSB is a little on the low side how important that is to the functioning of the machine I have to admit I don't know - all I know it is to do with keeping the power on the board during power off etc (there is usually a small LED on the board that stays lit up even when the machine is shut down - it is pin 9 from memory and a purple cable on the 24 pin plug)

As for fans I am a bit pedantic about shoving in as many as I can as you might appreciate I live in a climate that can get VERY hot and with no air con the machines are starting up on the ambient temperature a it is - sometimes 30 - 40C! While I am on the subject you might even consider updating the CPU cooling system as I am assuming you might be using the stock cooler that comes with the CPU and form experience they are adequate - just!

But the CPU temp is a little bit on the high side for say an idle - hence why the CPU fan is going flat chat. I think the screen showing the right hand panel (shows the CPU & GPU readouts etc while running) if that is what you intended sending through is not there so I cannot comment on them..

Now the Iobits I have used their software in the past and personally and I think you will find a lot of others have had bad issues with it, and in my own particular experience really hard to uninstall. But if you are happy with it and you reckon it is not causing any problems and that is hard to prove apart from uninstalling it an seeing what happens, then by all means carry on using it. This goes not only for Iobits but many other software's that have rather fanciful claims.
Me I like to use my own searches for drivers etc etc using actual manufacturers sites rather than software that claims to speed up the machine get rid of this and that when there are safer methods such as I use as above. For example take a look at this I always use this when setting up and fixing machines up for friends.

I also had one other question. In the next picture, you see GPU/Temp1/Temp2/Temp3/HD0/CPU temps, I do not know what the Temp 1-3 are.

Spence I am not real sure to be honest but am going to guess they relate to the motherboard - the speed of the CPU fan is related to the to the CPU temps. This is a normal function as you might have noticed when the machine is under load the speed of the CPU fan does increase.

Just out of curiosity what cooler have you got on the CPU?

Now if you run Speccy the temps remain much the same as the Speedfan results? there are already some temps in post #9 but a shot of the summary ( first screen hat comes up when HW is started up.

Alright, I believe this can be chalked down to the fact that my fans were performing inadequately resulting in my cpu overheating, I can't find any other reason for the BSoD's and they have ceased since I replaced the fans and reapplied some new thermal paste just to be safe.

That's good then Spence if the problem comes up again then it might be as well to fit a better cooling system and it isn't that expensive - compared to being frustrated with BSOD's or even a wrecked CPU.
