Solved BSOD issues multiple times a day - ntoskrnl.exe

Hi guys,

Can someone please help me with this BSOD issues? Facing crashes every now and then while using PC for browsing and MS excel. Earlier it was caused by usbhub.sys but now it seems to be due to ntoskrnl.exe

Give us some more insight.

Upload your MSINFO32.nfo file.

  1. Click on the start button
  2. Type "msinfo32" (without quotes) in the search bar of the start menu, click the resulting link. It will open the System Information window.
  3. File>Save. In the "File Name" filed, put "MSINFO32" (without Quote), give the save location to desktop, and click the "save" button.
  4. Give the time for processing, it will save a .nfo file on your desktop.
  5. Zip it, and upload it following the instruction.
Upload the list of all the third party drivers Using NirSoft DriverView :

  • Download and execute Driverview
  • View > Hide Microsoft Drivers
  • Edit > Select all
  • File > Save Selected Items
  • In the Save dialog, Set the path to desktop, Put "Driverview" in the name field, and save.
  • Zip the .txt file and upload it.

The keyboard filter by Avast may cause some malfunctions for a USB keyboard. But, pay attention to this one after the first two.

Thx Arc. I am going to disable the webcam first since that was the latest driver that I updated. It was only after that the BSOD started happening. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Thanks for your help, Arc. I disabled the webcam first but still had a couple of crashes. Next I removed the Avast antivirus which you had mentioned as a probable cause. Since the AV removal, I haven't had a blue screen (fingers crossed). So seems like that was the culprit. I would let you know if there is another BSOD event.
