BSOD Issues - Worse whilst gaming/streaming, can crash on desktop.

I've updated my razer drivers and I've just taken a peek into the bios, wasn't quite sure what you wanted but hopefully I got the right information.

Vcore: 1.212v
vtt: 1.100v
vcc3: 3.304v
412v: 12.073v
vcc: 5.042v
DDR15v: 1.548v

Thought it was worth noting that upon boot up windows explorer was failing to work, taking it 10-20 seconds to initialize. Teamspeak three has also failed to respond mid-conversation.

My motherboard doesn't appear to have a video out, so I'm not entirely sure if it is possible to utilize the CPU graphics chip.

Let me know if those voltages are what you needed,
Hope to here from you soon,
Peter

Just has a blue screen whilst playing Guild Wars 2, then later on during Firefall, I have attached the minidump files.

The voltages look fine to me, I just wanted to check if there was a potential power related issues.

Okay, let's make sure the CPU isn't causing the problem, since you have a Intel CPU then we can use http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/220743-cpu-stress-test-using-intelburntest.html. The tests are very quick, the longest being only 21 minutes long.

Here's the latest:

Code:

Probably caused by : dxgmms1.sys ( dxgmms1!VidMmCloseAllocation+35 )

Code:
4: kd> [COLOR="SeaGreen"]lmvm nvlddmkm[/COLOR]
start end module name
fffff880`04826000 fffff880`05307000 nvlddmkm T (no symbols)
    Loaded symbol image file: nvlddmkm.sys
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\nvlddmkm.sys
    Image name: nvlddmkm.sys
    Timestamp: [COLOR="Red"]Sun May 12 20:09:45 2013[/COLOR] (518FE8F9)
    CheckSum: 00AB6DED

    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4

Again, it is blaming the graphics card drivers, so it seems to be still points to a GPU issue.

I ran the test but had to quickly stop the test as it quickly surpassed the recommended operating temperature for the CPU.

The CPU: ARK | Intel® Core

I have attached the picture of the temperatures below, the temperature quickly spiked and I am convinced it would have continued to rapidly rise.

Shall I continue to run the test despite the heating issues?

I wouldn't run the test again, have you checked the condition of the fans? Are all the fans working properly?

All the fans appear to be operational, including the fan attached to the heat sink. I've been monitoring them the last few days using CPUID, will post a quick screen shot of them in action during the test. This test was conducted with the side panels removed from the case so it should have been running cool.

Edit: I have physically watched them spin as well - Just to clarify.

Have you checked the thermal paste on the CPU? I've seen a lack of paste, cause the CPU to heat up really quickly during a test.

My Computer My Computer

I actually have not, the paste for this generation of I7's came pre-applied to the heat sink. I will grab some new paste tomorrow and re-apply to see if that resolves anything, I fear though that if it is a heat issue the CPU will already be damaged.

Thinking positively, it might not be, the Prime95 stress test, tests a few different things: CPU registers, RAM and the Memory Controller. The test also only showed warnings not actual errors.

I think you have somehow damaged the CPU and GPU. The CPU should not be near 90C running Prime95 and Furmark, generally speaking, won't get a GPU up to 92C.
I assume from your comments you are using a stock Intel cooler which is crap for cooling. They are good only for, well, doing a lot of nothing with your PC. I suspect you have been overheating these components for a long time unknowingly.

Cehck for dust build up in the fans and CPU cooler fins and blow out if found, then get a good CPU cooler.

Hi guys,
Reapplied thermal paste, temperatures stayed the same. Ran another intel cpu test, which resulted in the following error. (See attached image).

Is it time to order a new CPU?

It seems to be a bad CPU, I suggest you get a replacement. I was hoping that it would be software related cause, so you wouldn't have to go and pay extra money for hardware replacements. I would also suggest getting a better cooler for your CPU too.

I'm going to pick up a temporary i3 replacement tomorrow, will get back to you over the course of the next few days. Thanks for all the time you've invested towards my problem, it really is appreciated.

Thanks again,
Peter
