Solved BSOD keeps crashing... new computer. crashed about 3 times in 1 day

Attached is my minidump. Please help!!!

It crashes even on idle. I've left it on without any programs open and it crashes every hour!!!

Hi Dsprague,

Had my brother install a copy of Photoshop on my computer. I think the entry in the host file is to block Adobe from checking the license. Is that bad? Is that what is causing the crashes???

running the memtest right now. IF it finds errors then move to step 3 and start testing the ram sticks, correct?

as for updating the iaStorA.sys and iaStorF.sys, I found only the drivers for iaStorA. iaStorF wasn't found. How would I go about updating the iaStorA driver anyway? Looked in the folder and can't find a .exe or setup file for it...

If you are unsure, let them do it for you
use the driver update utility :ar: Intel® Driver Update Utility

I run the mem-test. The 4th slot kept error-ing, even on good sticks. Didn't even go through pass 1.
Does that mean the motherboard is messed up? Is there anything I can do? So frustrated! Took a day and a half to do the memtest...

well, motherboard RAM slot it is...
if it's new, you can file a RMA to the manufacturer...
or replace the motherboard if necessary.
else, you can only use the good slot.

OK, managed to fix this!!! I went to the BIOS and realized my memory was set to 1300 (stock memory speed is 1866 though). Upon reading user comments about the motherboard, someone said something about the mb behaving nicely when put to 1600. So I changed the memory setting in the BIOS to 1600, tested with memtest and no errors!!!
Have had the computer on for 2 days straight and no crashes yet!!!
