I recently purchased a dell vostro 420. Upon initial boot, I received a blue screen as soon as I entered the general computer info (user name, time zone, password...). It worked the second time, so all was good. I then added a few components (tv card, sound card, blu-ray drive) and completely wiped and re-installed windows pro 7 x64. I received a blue screen or two the first couple of days, but then it ran fine for 5 days. During this time, I did video encodings for 2-4 hours a day with no crashes.

This weekend however, it started going crash crazy. I was getting win32k.sys errors. I then upgraded to non-integrated graphics. I am now getting dxgmms1.sys errors. This makes me think something odd is going on with video drivers, but I've made sure I have the most recent drivers for everything. I counted 18 crash dmp files since the 25th, not including times it didn't even boot correctly. Startup repair did not do anything.

It seems to crash at any time, while doing nothing, while encoding, while transferring files by ethernet from the old computer.

Memtest86 ran overnight Saturday with no errors.

I have the following components. I have added * to components I have added. I have also included the most recent dmp and xml files. Thank you guys for any help. I know I can return it, but I really just want it to work. I will respond later using the .exe file provided in the help section, sorry, not at the new computer at the moment.

Attached is the detailed crash logs. Lots of them. Pretty sure I need to send the computer back to Dell. Got a CPU error yesterday during memtest.

Sorry to be blunt but your best bet is to send it back and get another.

Yeah, figured. That's what I'm doing. That's what I get for trying to take the easy road instead of just taking the few hours to put my own together.
