BSOD no new hardware Bad_ _Header

Had the system for a few years just started getting BSOD. Went through updated everything I could think of. Ran 7+ cycles of memtest no faults found. Here are the two latest minidumps and my system specs. It happens at random time. In the middle of the night when no one is on up to high usage during game play. Started about 3 months after a full system format and restore.

Here are links to my .dmp files since I can't upload them here

Ok went the old fashion way with a volt meter I get 15.8v as a high on yellow but it sometimes dips to 8-9 volts over about 30 secs and 5v red real steady both in the molex connector. My 20 pin is kinda hard to get to but the best I could get on the orange was in the milli V area not even close to the 3v I also can't be sure I was making good contact either the pins on my volt meter are a little big for this type of work. I did get different readings on different orange contacts so take it for what i could get. Hope that helps.

Put some stress on the computer and yellow hovered between 8.5 and 9.3v red was 5v under stress

Ok mixdiver here is another easy way to get to measure the twenty pin http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/86648-psu-jump-start.html

The 15.8v is extremely high mate and dipping to 8-9v is just not acceptable 11.4v is regarded as bottom end mark.

So maybe time to check out another PSU - no spares hanging around I suppose?

So the brother has a older one somewhere he says so we will see how that goes. If it works time to get me a new one. :) Anything I can do to slow down the BSOD in the mean time. I have my laptop just prefer my desktop.

Sorry late reply mixdiver just personally I wouldn't be running the machine with the volts all over the place like that it could fry something that you don't want it to.

Just out of interest what PSU have you in it right now - brand and watts .

If you cannot find watts printed on it (unlikely) you can work that out by finding the details of the 12 volt rail and take the volt (12) and multiply it by the current (amps) it should state the amps with the 12v on the sticker.

So if for example it says 12v and the current is 25 amps then 12 x 25 = 300 watts. see pic
