I've been having random BSOD here and there, in the past they were KERNEL INPUT errors I think, now I'm getting critical process thread terminated BSODs.

I have an output from bluescreen viewer that I think may be most relevant.

I just registered and saw the post about how to write this thread so I'm going to try to include as much info as possible.

OS: Windows Home Edition x64.
CPU: i7 2nd generation sandy

I reinstalled recently on my 40g SSD. I'm running Win7 on that while saving all my files on a 1 terabyte regular HD as my E:\. I suspect there could be a conflict with my two HDs they aren't running any kind of RAID config. Sorry if I'm sounding noob. I really appreciate your guys' help.

Hey sorry I read that page and thought I uploaded the files into that .zip.

Is there other stuff I'm missing? Win7 x64 HE its not OEM, I have discs and I reinstalled a fresh copy of windows recently on my SSD but still was experiencing blue screens later on.

Sorry and thanks!

Make it easier for us to help you.

Put all of the files mentioned in that writeup into one zip file.
Include that zip file in your NEXT post and not in a previous post.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation,
karl

dmm,
Excellent!

I'm not one of the blue screen analysis experts.
I will request that at their earliest convenience, that they take a look at Fix.zip.

Lately, everyone and his dog have been having BSODs and the chaps, who are all volunteers working on their own time, without pay, are rather overloaded.

Could you do us a favor in the meantime, and use the following procedure to fill out your System Specs. You will find both SPECCY and SIW to be nice additions to your collection of utility software.
Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (located on the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
(left-hand column)

To gather info, use Speccy (my favorite) or SIW or System Info

In the System Manufacturer Block, enter:
Manufacturer and Model and
ADD the word laptop, desktop, netbook or tablet.
For example:
Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on SAVE CHANGES.

You will find that in Speccy, you can select info from the display
using your mouse/touchpad and then paste that info into your specs.

SIW is a marvelous program, but the free version does not offer
this capability.

I'm no BSOD expert either, but I've seen a number of BSOD thread posts that often get narrowed down to SSD firmware. Until you get some real help here you might want to check out the SSD manufacturer's site for your model...

wow definitely found some stuff, going to have to burn an iso but I suspected it might be just old drivers being buggy. i'll update and see if I'm clear for the night. I usually get 1-2 a day.

As F5ing said, check your firmware version and make sure yours is up to date.

Not sure if you have the rev. 1.3 or rev. 1.0 of your board, but both have the same BIOS updates: GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (rev. 1.0)

I would highly advise updating your BIOS. One of the updates improves stability with OCZ SSDs and my also help with your Intel SSD.

Your EtronXHCI.sys driver for your USB 3.0 ports caused a crash. I would recommend updating the drivers from GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (rev. 1.0) as yours appear to be out of date.

Also, install the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology driver from GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 (rev. 1.0). It is the last driver on the list in SATA RAID (I know it is not in RAID, but it is also an AHCI driver).

In general, for an SSD:
  • Make sure the following are up to date:
    • SSD firmware
    • BIOS Version
    • Chipset Drivers
    • Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
    • If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

My SSD was in IDE mode so it couldn't be updated. A ton of stuff just updated installing drivers upon reboot. Then I was able to update the drive and now using Intle's Solid State Driver Toolbox, it auto-updated and actually optimized one setting. Sweet! I guess unless someone's already working on it call this case closed for now!
