We have an epidemic of blue screens going on in our school and we are at a lose. These are newly imaged HP650G1 I7 machines. Our offending number count sits at 21. We believe it to be driver related just from our research, possibly Smartboard or USB related as we are seeing some issues with being able to access USB ports or Smartboard stops being recognized prior to some of the BSOD's. PLEASE HELP.

There is nothing to worry about when uploading the zip, there is nothing personal in and no secrets, only generic stuff that have a lot of variables due to difference in hardware and software .

Start with updating/reinstalling the drivers from HP, there are several drivers being flagged in the dumps.

That's what we've been doing. We started with the wireless card then the USB drivers, then we did the HID drivers, still getting blue screens...Any specific drivers?

Unfortunately I can't give specific drivers to update or other specific suggestions, I can't get the dumps to load proper due to some problem with symbol files.
I can't trust it with the reason that whenever symbol errors occur there is a big chance the true output of the dump is totally different from what I get and so my analysis would be useless.
I requested help on this matter.

Hi aktheatre. Posting here as my friend axe0 wants it.

Open Device Manager.

  • Press the Windows key + R simultaneously on the keyboard. The Run box will appear.
  • Type devmgmt.msc, hit enter.
In the Device Manager, disable bluetooth.

Now put the computer to sleep. Wake it up. Does it BSOD?
If yes, let us know.
If no, do the same thing for a few more times. Does it BSOD at any particular time at least?
If yes, let us know.

If not, keep bluetooth disable always. Enable it when you use it, then disable it back.

Please note the Blue Screens are random and I did not get one booting up the machine today. I tried putting the computer to sleep with no changes and woke it up, no blue screen, I disabled the bluetooth as instructed, put the computer to sleep and woke it up, no blue screen... I tried this 3 more times, no blue screen....

OK, noted. :)

Follow the suggestion. Post back when you face another BSOD.
