Hi Guys,

I am having problems with one of our computers that is usually left on over night to record kiln temperatures using bench data logger v3.

The machine is a Compaq/HP EVO D530S running Windows 7 32 bit and has been running for a few months now without any problems. It is connected to a domain. I cant figure out why it is playing up now.

I have attached the SF_Diadnostic_Tool's compressed folder to this post (the results that is). First time doing this so hopefully I have doe this correctly. Please let me know if I have not.

Any advice or suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Hi,

The first thing I would recommend is to perform all updates through Windows Update. Try that first to see if the system stays stable.

The exception which seems to have occurred, is a NMI (Non Maskable Interrupt), which is a interrupt which happens when a serious error has occurred. It has the highest priority. It also appears that a Timer event (nt!KiTimerExpiration) has been fired, which could belong to whatever caused the problem.

Remove:

Code:
Start Menu\Programs\McAfee

McAfee seems to be directly causing problems in a different crash dump (another Stop 0xA), please remove McAfee completely with the McAfee Removal Tool, and then install and run full scans with these free and proven alternatives which work the best with Windows 7 due to their compatibility and lightweight nature on system resources.

Install and perform full scans with:

Remember to install the free version of Malwarebytes not the free trail; untick the free trial box during installation. MSE is the most lightweight and compatible with the Windows 7 operating system

Good Morning Guys,

Thanks for your input. I tried to run the updates yesterday but to no avail. The system freezes up and drops its internet connection. Windows explorer then stops responding and needs to be refreshed.

As for McAfee, It is company policy that all machines run McAfee so even if this was the problem I am unable to uninstall the software :(

I have decided to replace the machine and do a complete fresh install of windows 7 and will keep it as an emergency spare computer.

Thanks for your help again guys. Much appreciated. I will be using this forum again :D

Glad to be able to help :)

I understand what you mean about the company policy, even you tell them the problem is because of McAfee they usually just reinstall the program again.
